Torrential rain rattling through Cheshire right now. Winds strengthening but yet to pick up significantly - may well peak mid-late afternoon as Eunice clears Eastwards.

Snow risk for some to watch tomorrow too - expecting rain or sleet at best this far south & low down though.

So the peak might be about the time children come out of school here in South Cheshire. Oh joy

I might as well. I've lived in Wistaston, Crewe for over 20 years and I don't think we see that much snow, certainly not in relation to other parts of Cheshire, Stoke and some of the northern parts of the North West. It's always seemed to me that Crewe has a bit of a micro-climate, and us joining much of the rest of the NW in seeing snow in November this afternoon has been a bit of a bonus for me.

Sorry I didn’t mention you Face Like Thunder. Didn’t realise you were based in Wistaston too. The  last snow in our road was 6 April and caught us out. After sometimes a foot of snow in Middlesbrough our neighbours here said it never snows. I hadn’t realised that other parts of Cheshire had more. My Christmas present will be some weather station equipment. I feel such a noob at present

First winter in Cheshire and it produces this beauty. My expectations are low given we are at sea level virtually but today has proven given the right conditions we can have settling snow in daylight hours in November!

Welcome to South Cheshire. We live in Wistaston and we have seen more snow over the last few years than I expected when we moved from the cold North East. CreweCold might disagree
