It's nice and sunny here, although there are a few snowflakes dancing in the wind, can see we are currently under light PPN on the radar. Currently showing as around 1c after being under freezing all morning

didn't think we would get anymore snow here, but just had a look at met office and looks like there is the potential for a snowy evening, fingers crossed!

Is that your The Day After Tomorrow pose, Tommy? Snow's on again, up here, but bigger, more convective flakes than earlier!
I was trying to get a pose for a new profile pic...whilst freezing my tits off haha

Been snowing lightly all day here, barely a slushy covering where I live, even on the cars, although the temp must've dropped as is is starting to settle a little. However, the other side of town (higher up) has a bit of a covering, nothing severe but enough to look pretty! Been out and taken a few photos
Bit of a disappointment, but its still snowing lightly so its nice to look at!

At the moment it's a high ground event hopefully it will drop to town and coast level soon
I'm on the coast (can look out the window and see the sea down the road) and it's snowing here. It's light to moderate on and off, but it's all snow now. Far too light, and wet, to settle at the moment

snowing lightly here now, proper snowflakes (not sleet) but it is very wet out

I managed about the same! Mind you I'm a crap sleeper anyway. A mouse farting three miles away wakes me up The missus can sleep for Britain however
Hahaha! I set an alarm for 4 but it didn't go off for some reason, but I woke up anyway due to excitement...must admit I was a little disappointed, but there's plenty of time for it to turn around

Morning all,
Just woke up and the weather isn't really doing much...bit of light sleetiness in the wind. just read through the last few pages, a lot of disappointment and arguing but fingers crossed it's just delayed, I still feel excited
Now for a cuppa and a spot of lamp post watching

Based on radar trends - I am expecting most of Kent to be 'wintry' by 1am - plenty of ppn piling in as well.
I know Kent is only a part of the region, so a bit IMBY - but also the part of the region that has been largely starved so far.
As well as east sussex. We have been starving for years!!

Looking forward to a few drinks tonight to get “in the mood” for a late one. Nice bottle of red, with maybe a cheeky glass or two of scotch after. What are anyone elses plans?
Pretty much the same! although I have an appointment at the optition in the morning, I've got visions of wading through a raging blizzard, with a raging hangover, to get there! don't think I'll be attempting to drive anywhere for the next few days anyway!

I did hear the BBC forecast earlier mention this. It was at lunchtime and she was mentioning the systems tail end will clip the south east....she then went on to show the snow in exactly the same area as it has been showing for a while. The very next forecast she didn’t mention it clipping, so I am guessing she reconsidered her terminology I think she was trying to say that it was a large system, and it won’t all come here....that’s what I thought she meant anyway, but as I say, she didn’t say it half an hour later on the next forecast. Hope that makes sense not very good at explaining weather related things....love watching them though
I saw this too, and she did say something like the storm clipping the southeast, but also said about blizzard conditions act and as you have said, the graphics were the same! don't think it's a worry (or so I keep telling myself...if it rains here again, I am moving!!!)

Temperature is falling away quite fast now, was almost 10c an hour or so ago but is now 7.8. Hopefully these are the warmest temps for a while! Raining too ??

I really don’t think it will be too much of an issue this time, with the offshore wind and better upper air profile! Everything crossed for us coastal dwellers
I really hope so! Just popped out and its so mild, now 9.7!

Very balmy 9.3 here at the moment, really hoping we do get snow and not rain, one of the frustrations of living 2 mins walk from the beach

BFTE 2018 wasn't particularly notable for snow here, but the temperatures were absolutely freezing, especially for March daytime. Hoping this spell may bring more snow, we did very well here on the coast in 2010! Have had barely a flake since 2018, and there was barely anything before that since March 2013 (which was a very good event!)

Morning all, 9c bang on currently in St Leonards, very dark and wet day. Trying not to get my hopes up about next week so have resisted the urge to mention it to anyone else, as that usually just ends up making me look stooopid
Fingers crossed though!
