can hear it here, and a few flashes

Yeah, It's skirting South of the city, not coming as Northerly, so might not be direct hit, but will be on the periphery.

From my position, the Sun is hazy setting, yet getting middling large blobs rain, while to my South is an unending constant thunder rumbling! Due to how "distant" most of it sounds, I believe a lot of it is elevated, with a couple of cg strikes coming through when it goes more booming.

Is the Storm West of Stoke and the one North East of Stoke joining? and tracking North East?

It seems the one moving from South to West of Stoke, has decayed a bit, but connected by lots of cloud to the Monstrous storm heading my way, currently over Market Drayton!

Have been hearing consistent distant rumbling for the past 20 minutes having been outside.

That leading front of the storm seen in this picture just passed over my location, seems to be leading far in front of the main action!

can hear reasonably regular distant rumbles from the storm just north of Stoke, too bright to see any lightning but we are on the very edge so we did get a bit of moderate rain. Promising for the rest of the day.

Can confirm! Was driving through flooded roads and biblical rainfall with a good couple of Cc lightning to get to my dentist appointment!

Back home now, but still feeling humid and muggy despite the storm!

seems to be a repeat of yesterday afternoon at the moment, storms tracking along the same path NNE over Shropshire, up to Chester and into Merseyside. Unless there is eastern development then its all going to miss us again.

Lightning Maps showing multiple direct hits over you dude, hope you got to enjoy some lightshow!

  5. Wow the sky went really dark, but the electricness of the storm took a break directly overhead, and started back up on the way to Leek, still enjoying lightening and boomering thunder, hearing multiple distant +ve CG shotgun thunder!

A very disappointing day again. One light shower lasting about 15 seconds.....and thats it. No idea how we have achieved it but we avoided absolutely everything.

You're not going to like the fact I am still, and have for the last half hour currently enjoying an amazing light show of beautiful arcing forked lightning and gunshot positive cg thunder!

Best storm I've seen in a few years here on the Llandulas coast!  😁

Damn, I thought you was still in Stoke, was just about to take my camera out lol

Whoops apologies, didn't see you responded as I ended up just passing out on the caravan sofa, yeah, will be here for a week, so I'll probably mention any activity up in this area of N. Wales near Llandulas/Abergele for this time. Back in Stoke from next Saturday evening.

constant rumbling now in Congleton, no lightning seen as it still quite bright from the hazy sun, but an overhead grey cloud is producing non stop thunder. Rainfall is on and off moderate showers. Not too bad at all, perhaps more to come later

Lots of rumblings coming from your direction, that cloud shown previously definitely backbuilt into a rumbler. Agreed not seen any lightning as of yet typing this.

  9. Weatherwise from my spot its been an interesting day, been sitting right bang on the edge of dark angry skies for HOURS from NE to SE of my position, and other than a light shower i caught the edge of, i've had sunny weather, but watching these stormy skies that have formed yet appear to "not move". Don't think I can recall this happening before, I'm just like the other guy who posted his position right at the edge of being in thunderstorm warning area, but not in it.

Edit: Just realised the storms may actually be moving back in a more NW direction, after being pretty much stationary for most of the day.
