Thought this might happen, storm threat almost taken away here now by both BBC and the MetOffice, so another chicken-up by that pair, so it is best to just to look out the window and keep tabs on radars, etc.
There is still a storm warning in place for Wolverhampton. it's just the case of luck really. It's hit or miss.

It looks more like sharp/heavy showers with the odd rumble. The potency of the showers while quite heavy rainfall total they aren't quite enough to cause intense thunderstorms - perhaps an odd rumble. You'll be lucky to get one though.

Still, its not the level 2 or 1 severe any of us were expecting. We'll see in the coming few hours.
No I wouldn't expect those levels of severity at this point possibly the odd rumble and some lighting.

I can't sleep because it's so muggy here just had a look at the latest map data, CAP might have broken some interesting activity development for central portion of the UK. Potentially some hit or miss storms brewing.

I think that might be the start of the cold front moving in, correct me if I'm wrong.

Majority of the fun going north, keeping to the East of London up into eastern East Anglia. Doesn't look like much is going to happen more centrally, as yet.
Unfortunately nothing much will happen tonight for the central regions, we might get a sharp shower early hours but they will be very hit or miss and I feel some of the development happening down in the south/south west will peter out by the time it gets to the central parts. Here's hoping I'm wrong.

Some substantially heavy downpours but not producing anything too exciting.
