Not seen a sausage at all. As a kid in the 90s, early 00s (when they frightened me) storms used to be common, often and rumble for hours. What has happened? What has changed?
Anyone else wanting Winter to be over now? It's been awful...3rd year without any proper lying snow. Looking forward to Spring and seeing the flowers and tree bloom back into life, and the smell of apple blossom and cut grass!
Woke to a covering in Dudley this morning. It very lightly snowed most of the night actually. Sitting in Cannock currently and they've had a bit more snow than we got in Dudley. Still snowing lightly as we speak.
I'm originally from Walsall...well Brownhills to be precise! I was known as Matt_in_Walsall up till 3 years ago! Been on here nearly 12 years! Was here at the beginning just after the old BBC Weather Forums closed down
Heard people messing around outside...turns out their playing in snow! Nice covering, coming down moderately...although i've now got back into bed cuz i'm freezing. Wasn't expecting to get anything so it's nice to see a proper covering!
I'm not sure that we'll see much in this part of the world. I feel as if it will be a "close but no cigar" type of situation. It's so hard to predict snow accurately. How many times has there been snow in the forecast for there to be some ingredient missing when they time actually comes for it to fall? It's like thunder in Summer! We haven't had much snow over the last 3-4 years here. Snow that we have had has melted within hours of falling. Don't like to be pessimistic but i just can't get excited anymore.
Can hear distant rumbles towards Bridgnorth. Rain has begun. So much for sitting in the garden after work yet just came back from Sandwell and it's been pretty nice most of the day, bit cloudy though.
Currently 24.5C with 55% humidity here! Got the fan on full blast and the windows open and i'm still hot! Hoping for a storm to clear the air a bit! Not going to get my hopes up though because nothing is certain, especially around here!
Currently in St Leonards On Sea near Hastings! Thunder approaching...good to see the Midlands is getting something too! Even though i'm not there.Very warm and muggy here. See you all in a week!
