Thunder in Telford (again)
-
Can hear rumbles from Telford. Looks like something has developed between here and Shrewsbury on radar.

Hoping for 3 nights of thunder in a row for Telford. I was away for the first night so not sure what that was like. Last night looked like it was going to be spectacular and then it fizzled out just as it got here .
At least the plants have enjoyed some rain for the first time in about a month! Let's see what tonight brings.

Still rumbling away here got some good beefy rumbles going on about every 5 mins or so possibly starting to die out but its still got that green hue to the sky so I'm hoping there's more on the way
Looks like it's heading off towards Newport on the radar?

Sat in Fishguard, Pembrokeshire on a camping holiday and watching silent strobe lightning a long way away to my S/SW. Must be that storm west of Cornwall. 1/2 flashes per second. Must be huge.
We were watching 2 others earlier aswell, one NE at Aberaeron and one WE towards Swansea. No thunder heard.
A few shooting stars too.
A good night around the campfire!

Had constant thunder and plenty of flashes of lightning over central Telford about an hour. Heavy rain. Seems to be calming a bit now.

Grey skies here all day, can't remember the last time that happened. Can't complain too much though, it's been spot on here for 5 or 6 weeks.
Off to the bottom of Cornwall next Wednesday for 10 days. Same time as last year where we had 10 days of solid sunshine - don't think we'll be getting that this year
At least it should be better weather down there than up here, a bit closer to the high pressure!
