Yep great Advice, from Chelmsford would head west towards Stanstead then North towards Cambridge, then take the A11 towards Kings Lynn and you wont go far wrong, or stay on the M11 Then the A14 and then A1 towards Peterborough. Same deal just head North
Thank you! Gotta see if I can convince the girlfriend it's a good idea!

I am off to Lake Como in August, I am hoping for a juicy storm whilst there!!!

Paul S is the main man, but if I were you I'd head north, maybe western parts of Norfolk looks a good bet and keep a close eye on the radar
Cheers, I would to catch one

Basically got one big flash and rumble and that was it. Nothing on forecast for Chelmsford now either, disappointed!

I’m down in Benfleet.
It’s slowed a lot here too, I think the main core of the storm is moving up the sea to the East of Southend
Bugger, hopefully some more action later on...

Nice bright flash followed by another lovely deep rumble then...
I’ll admit it’s been so long since I last had a properly overhead storm that it took me a few seconds to realise what was going on when I woke up
Presume you are in Chelmsford area then? Nothing since that though.....

Met office radar showing more torrential downpours moving in across the SE and London before midnight prior to the arrival of the thundery rain from Belgium/france so
Radar picking lightning just NW of Chelmsford, might go for a drive after food if its still around
