  1. It sounds pretty tasty outside and I'm only in Torquay. First time I've had the windows shut for about a month! This could be nasty for Cornwall and the Scillies with all the trees in full leaf. I certainly wouldn't want to be camping tonight.

Truly amazing pics! Capturing the shear awe of these storms. For this forum, it's a funny old thing. For some  it's a "bust", the hope of something dramatic presenting as nothing more than drizzle and mild annoyance. For some, it's a really dramatic sequence of events, possibly veering into the dangerous.

Whatever happens, our little island is as varied as the people who live on it and we're all going to see some amazing things that will sometimes shock us.

Sorry if that's all a bit philosophical but it's so cool that our world just does what it does and we all get to tune into it a bit.

Get out there and experience it; 'cos its awesome.

For further north I’d agree but the soundings look disappointing, skinny CAPE over the south west and pretty moist so updrafts are unlikely to be strong. Just the odd sferics currently and radar looking more like a ‘wet mess’ than showing sharp returns. It’s already dead in the water for the south west I suspect.

Yep. It's a soggy mess this morning. Back to the No Storms Club we go... The grockles will be happy, I guess.

  4. Watching that system currently NE of Guernsey.

I'm planted firmly in "No Storms Club" at the moment, down here in Torquay. Had some rain overnight but nothing else of interest happening down here at all this week (actually, all year!). Been fun seeing things absolutely go off in the rest of the country though. Some of you have had some corkers. Fingers crossed we get something...
