  3. I must say, I've been a long time reader since 2005, but Andy i hate it when you get everyone's hopes up all the time!  Especially to the non educated about the weather! Why post charts after charts than never verify?! Maybe for the mountains but not for the majority of normal people  in Wales. If i'm honest your posts just give people false hope if they love snow. Anyway enough said

  4. Maybe because it's quite rare down south? I don't think people are crying though, although if your house was flooded out or badly damaged through wind you may have so different take on things?

Rare down south, Maybe? try living in South Wales. Battered by constant wave after wave of depressions from the South West for almost 2 months!!

  5. Really coming down heavy and for the first time tonight really starting to settle properly on most surfaces, car, grass, and on even on pavements it is starting to from that slushy layer before settling proper.

Of course, it could go 2 ways, if it stays like this for 5 minutes, it will quickly thaw, but if it continues like this for a few hours, a few cms are likely on most if not all surfaces.

What a difference the height makes, Killay to Tycoch!!!!
  6. Missed the plane plane because I was trying to locate it with the virtual radar on my computer, looked like it was over Devon (Doh, slap forehead). Went outside to find it had flown overhead, as they do. Took this photo at least half an hour after it had passed, probably a bit more. Then waited for it to return but never did (between about 8:10 to 8:40PM). Nice to come back a different way to the way you went I suppose, like a walk.

    It was unbelieavable to see!!

  7. What a shock, tonight whilst out in my garden, being in Swansea which is the usual flight path for planes to America, the British Airways test flight flew over at a few thousand feet have never seen a plane this low in this area before. My children were amazed!!!!

  8. Go lampost go lampost go lampost!!

Am opening a new pack of hob nobs, and getting the tea on for the lampost.

Feed your lampost and it will deliver.

I still can not understand how so much snow can exist in one lampost lamp?

Perhaps its like a portal to some snow universe?

I nominate my lampost for lampost of the year (wales regional finals).

Hi i'm not far from you (killay) quite a nice covering now, do you think we will get a lot more tonight?
