Radar from about 15:30 is starting to show something developing above Norwich which might be the start of the good stuff that can travel over the hills.

Looking at the Radar of the colder weather north to here, any snow stops going west from Carlisle to Lancaster ...about 5 miles east of the M6 the snow just stops in a near on straight line southwards...Will this line grow and come to us?

I dont get it...The MET BBC and a lot of you guys are saying it prob wont snow or if it does it will not be much, and i get the reasons why as the snow is from the east and for myself in 16 years of living in east lancs I have never seen more than an inch from the east ...but...I just watched a guy on you tube who seems to know his weather stuff and virtually all his models,runs ,gfs things ect seem to say it will snow for most of us for a few days and for some it will be heavy.

I feel for you guys who have not had much snow... but me...I am so lucky this year, first we had the streamer about ten days ago that covered everything with about 4 inch of the good stuff ... that had only melted on the roads and half on the fences but today is a dream come true with so far non stop snow since i woke up at 430am to a covering. The radar is now pushing it all my way ,best day since the December to remember times for me or us snow lovers in Nelson at 160m ASL.

Been waiting all day watching the radar and finally it has started snowing ...nothing heavy, but any at all is good in my eyes.

Here in Nelson the snow is still around but from the minute it fell yesterday it was slightly melting and has continued to very slowly melt today but tonight temps are going to be lower so all should freeze up and last even longer

Powder snow has turned into big flakes and within 15 mins everything is white again.
