I may not post a lot but I'm on here most days (I've been a member of almost 10 years), I have to say this is the most friendly and informative forum I'm a member of, this has been proven over the last couple of days, my thoughts go out to John and Lollypop, stay strong.

drizzle here, has been all morning, temps don't seem to be dropping at all!

c'mon, it will be the usual suspects that get the snow, cambridgeshire, heartfordshire etc. norfolk/suffolk certainly wont, the front wont reach here, it will stall to the west of us and pivot south as it always does
I certainly didn't do very well at all in the last 2 events in Cambridge, I'm sure Norfolk and parts of Suffolk did very well!

Hi Ben, I've had around 6cm now, still coming down quite heavy, what do you think the chances of that load over the North sea making it this far south?

Seems to be coming more of a westerly direction now, fingers crossed!

It's been snowing light-mod since 9.30am, although very small and powdery, I've now got 2.5cm, that's the deepest it's been here all this winter

Better news from the GFS 18z run for Sunday; keeps the ppn all as snow until late evening when it turns a little sleety right on the coast. East Anglia takes the brunt of it too; maybe the sweet spot will be in Cambs but all areas of the region would get a fair bit from this.
No doubt things will change again but let's hope it's upgrades!
Please don't say sweet spot Cambs, someone said that for last Monday and we only got 1cm lol

Only about 1-1.5cm on the ground at the moment. Some light snow possible through tonight I would of thought but as for more significant snowfall, looking to Sunday now! How did you do?
Around the same, looks to be a few more showers on the radar but not holding much hope they'll make it here, Sunday looks good so far, just hope the models keep in agreement!

Yes I do reckon the Met office atm are being very conservative in regards to Sunday. If current output persists regarding Sunday in the morning, I'd expect warnings to expand across the entire region tomorrow.
How did you do today Ben? Seems to be a lot of different amounts a couple of miles apart

1cm here today, we had 1.5cm last Monday, at least it's staying cold
What does everyone think of my chances in south cambs on Sunday? Surely better than today

All 2cm of snow from yesterday has now gone, congrats to all the people in the region who have loads, bring on fri/sat and maybe beyond :-)

Looking at the radar Anglia is being attacked from 3 sides, the lot from the NW, the wash and a quick intensifying load on the east coast
