Light snow again now, settling a bit. Better than nothing.
-
Nothing here now. Bring on the warmer days

Snow just started here. Slowly getting heavier, it is very dark outside.

MO app shows a yellow warning for me. Went to bed with no precipitation forecast, it now shows very heavy snow from 8am for 5 hours and then light snow for 3 hours. Crazy!
I'm not convinced though...

Radar shows heavy snow, absolutely nothing so far!

Less snow than a few weeks ago actually, more like a thin layer here. Can't complain though!

Small flakes settling on the velux windows . No street lights here so too dark to see outside yet. Nice to read that Cornwall and IOW are getting a little coating
It is good to hear, isn't it!
The MO app has updated with various points today that I could get snow, but I'm not holding out much hope for anything more than what we have had this morning

It's been snowing here since at least 5am. Good covering so far, haven't ventured out fully yet to see how much. Looks somewhat similar to what we had a few weeks ago!

It is really nice when the sun comes out. As nice as snow is, I am looking forward to warm days, that's for sure!

Yellow warning for Thursday and Friday for me now... Realistically, could we get any decent covering? A few weeks ago we were only forecast a tiny bit and ended up getting 3-4cm, which is nice enough!
-
Yellow warning is a good sign, I've got about 8 hours of snow forecast tomorrow on the MO app. Fingers crossed!

Persistent light snow here now. Getting heavier by the minute!
The radar shows we are just on the edge of a large band of it. It seemed to appear out of nowhere, weirdly

Nice to see some areas near me getting snow! None where I work currently, but MO shows a few hours of snow this morning, so who knows?
Still holding out hope for Thursday/Friday.
Lovely dry, cold morning so far though!
-2 at home, but no frost whatsoever

Those apps are like going down a rabbit hole. Continued viewing can drive you mad, I still look though! Ha the downgrade on those apps can happen 6 hours before. Radar and wind direction in these situations. As long as the wind remains ese we are in with a chance as soon as it shifts to a southerly its usually game over and the only thing left is to drive to Princetown!
Well it now shows barely any snow Thursday, but more Friday...!
I went to Princetown on NYE and there was a good covering of snow there then. You can always rely on there being much more snow there!

I'm totally unconvinced myself. Anything coming from the east usually gets the life sucked out of it by the higher parts of dartmoor.
You're probably right, but I hope you do get some. MO app shows snow still for Thursday over a 24 hour period, some hours it is now heavy snow. Normally by now it would have all been downgraded... Could it be?!

I'm on South Dartmoor, not a flake here. Even the washing on the line dried today in the sun
Terrible, isn't it!
Holding out hope for Thursday/Friday!

It has tried to very lightly snow a few time where I am right now. MO app has put a few more spells of snow tomorrow/Wednesday on there now, so who knows? I know the app isn't usually correct, but nice to see!

I am in the darker green area of that too. MO app shows nothing (obviously, never seems to get snow right) but realistically, will it happen? Hmmm....
The app does seem to still think that I'll be getting snow from 6am Thursday until 6am Friday though!
-
I know it isn't the most reliable, but the MO app shows heavy/light snow all day Thursday for me. Fingers crossed!

Check the Wales thread, UKV chart posted.
Wow, my area is shown as red in the snow depth chart. Exciting times! Would be nice if it stays as that

They're saving the red warning for Wales and the SW.
We aren't expecting that much, are we?

Excellent spot for wintery weather from the east! Where as I'm the polar opposite I'm west of really high ground. Not much from the east gets through.
Fingers crossed then!

Wouldn't waste your time with that if I were you, with the snow last Sunday that app was showing rain here the night before, then it was showing a few hours of heavy snow, then it showed snow turning to rain & then it showed it staying as snow.
In other words, it's an utter waste of your time to keep looking at that app, my advise is to watch the met office weather videos on their youtube channel, they post updates throughout the day.
I did think that. It seems to change by the hour
