And as predicted significant flooding all along the Aire valley, 6 flood warnings already for it. Levels in a couple of places are not that far off Boxing day as well, which is a bit surprising as the rainfall this time isn't that much there just isn't anywhere else for it to go but the streams.

    Its becoming a yearly occurrence.

Hi Again, after reading this properly, I see you're going off the levels and timing. I wondered if you had seen that written anywhere! It's not looking great that's for sure.

River Calder level at Hebden Bridge predicted to get to close to Boxing day levels tonight. Anyone near a river, stream needs to take care, as worst of the rain is later today going on the forecasts.

Met and the EA have messed up again.

Morning Cowdog, I've seen the warnings and everything but out of interest, where have you found the Boxing day levels info from? Thanks.

  3. It's now sleeting / blowing about in the air / raining again but not settling.

And by the time I've typed it, and wondered whether to bother posting such an update, it's stopped / gone back to drizzle Very on and off. I'll post when any real action starts

I've lurked for a few years. I call you my beloved weather geeks... You make me weather geeky, that and living high up on a hill. Snow in the winter, storm chasing in the summer...

After a long few weeks, I did tell some people on Mon/Tues that, it could still downgrade, but the models are aligning and the geeks aren't sleeping, so... ❤️

Thank you. You have helped me prepare for this one, just in case it is like a beast.
