Marginal for Newcastle I reckon. Parts of it look like they’re taking a turn northwards towards Scotland, whilst the bottom half is still swinging westerly.
Very hard to tell.

Unless things change all snow for Tyneside is going to fall in the sea and fizzle out before making land
Looks like the wind and showers make a right hand turn back out to sea

After all my excitement this morning, it looks like that ‘blob’ thats grown, is going to go right past me...
Looking marginal in Newcastle too now!

Lower edge close the coast is disintegrating...not a good sign for Tyneside. All looking to be making land in Northumberland now..... could change
Watching that closely, does seem as though it’s all piling into the Blyth streamer. Time will tell...

There's a big chunk of the system not even on radar so I'd say yes but we're in a nowcasting situation really.
I’m going to be stuck in a room without windows until lunchtime, typical

Well well well. Get the cold in first and winds coming off the sea. E then NE now SE !
This is going to be the most significant snow event of this spell anywhere in the region.....thats if you are in the firing line. Slow moving means more accumulation.
The band of snow is growing fast
Wouldnt be surprised a flash weather warning is issued....
Seems to be widening and deepening with every radar update.
the southern tip is also wheeling round towards land as far south as Hull?

Woke up to over an inch of fresh snow this morning in Morpeth, and probably in a good position for more today.
Lots more I'd wager

Places like Blyth could be knee deep by the end of today.
Agreed, Blyth looks right in the firing line all morning and the band of snow they're under is turning red on the radar out at sea

I’m right on the border at the moment, everywhere north and west of me looks like it’s getting this shows but I have had another cm or 2 overnight.
I don’t want to jinx it but the big showers seem to be heading this way...
-
Well, I wasn’t expecting that! They look heavy and slow moving, will be good for whoever gets them.

I’m thinking that big clump is going between Whitley bay and blyth like most this afternoon
It’ll be close. I initially thought they’d sink south of Newcastle but looks like they’re heading due East now.

Well gentlemen, as they say when the Titanic sunk, it's been a pleasure! Really kept me entertained since Saturday on this particular page. Much better than reading those southern t w a t s moan.
Seconded. My first time really following a cold spell and no doubt I'll be back, even if I am one of those southern you-know-whats in disguise

Light snow reaching NCL now, might go out for a walk in it.
A late Feb cold spell would be amazing but I think I need to focus on work for the next week or so to make up for all the time spent radar watching this week
