Neilsouth Ashford area has seen some serious rainfall this evening. Seems to intensify as it approaches us on the radar
-
Harry's House Yes just hit here - quite an intense line wasn't it.

Maybe something of interest for cold fans coming into view... Day 6 is not without interest #morerunsneeded

lassie23 Will the Kent Alps do?

It looks like there is excitement building in the MAD thread... Interestingly at Day 7 not 14+

Foggy up here this morning - irony is the moon was so bright in the early hours it lit up the garden. Possible rumours of a pattern change beginning 2nd week of Feb but I wouldn't put money on it just yet... Still thinking it will be a late spring this year
-
Minus 5 here again this morning and the frost hasn't lifted away from the sunny spots. Some very iced up cars around. Top temp 2.7 in the garden

Can we get explosive/ ppn expansion?.. a rare breed- however it’s possible.. some surprises dustings/ coverings likely regional…
Unfortunately the wind is veering offshore over Norfolk and showers seem to being fed down the centre of the North Sea. Ostend looks to be in the firing line currently
-
Only made it to minus 5 this morning so not as cold as earlier in the week here at least
-
I can confirm that we have v light snow falling up here now. Just need the stronger precipitation to get over here now

Just had a quick walk after work and some light sleet falling now. Precipitation building towards Canterbury so might see some flurries

A few showers starting to develop in the southern North Sea that might give a few a dusting later.
Looks a possibility but they are doggedly adhering to the 12 mile limit currently

Still minus 2 up here in the Kent Alps but fingers crossed developments overnight
-
Let's be honest if anything falls tomorrow it's a bonus but it's not a zero chance anymore

Added to above post, not worth looking at models anymore when radar is vastly different.

True - we are walking a tightrope but I do think a bit north as @nick sussex alluded to

Arperge 12z run not without interest

Yes that was the area of interest I was seeing on sat24. Has been some development south of Cork and Bantry

Got to say it does seem to be moving in quicker than the UKMO 12z model has it for this time, whether that will lead to it being further North later on who knows!
Seeing as models seem to be quite a way out at a 5 hour lead time there definitely is scope for surprises tomorrow!
The Arome 12z seems even further out with precipitation barely reaching Brest which isn't close to reality.
There is already snow sweeping across the Finistere region into Brittany. Watching brief on northern extent...

The sat24.com radar is worth a look as it goes further out to SW of Ireland

I'm guessing when the Wednesday low starts to appear on the radar we'll be able to see if it's further north or not? I know virtually all of the models are saying no but I just can't let this one go
I believe it may just be starting to appear in the SW Approaches. Not enough showing to make a call yet
