Currently 0.9C after being 4.5C at 7.12am. Clear overhead, but onimous skies to the north and west!

Just come back from Penrith, and the hills around Ullswater are covered in snow. Looks quite low too....certainly down to 1000ft and probably even lower.
Back home it's 1.1C and sleeting hard, turning increasingly wintery.

Interestingly, the temperature has dropped this morning from 7.7C at 4.50am (when my darling daughter woke me) down to 5.1C now. When I say interestingly, I mean it in the loosest possiible sense of the word.

Another cold night, minimum -5.3C and now rising slowly at -3.7C and going to be another sunny day (when it rises)

Weather-wise, it's now -3.4C and clear.

A maximum today of 3.5C and now droppinig back down again. For the second day running...not a single breath of wind...unheard of (and the anonomometer IS working too!)

A lovely winter's day here today, with watery sunshine and not a breath of wind. Got up to 4.5C here today and is currently 1.5C and dropping fast.

Quite nice here, after all the damp dull stuff. Very light cloud cover, 1.8C after reaching a maximum of only 4.9C today. This is more like it!

I'm quite enjoying today actually, seeing some proper rain for a change, and some decent winds. Better than boring nothingness.
Anyway, currently 10.7C, and windy...averagin about 18mph and a gust of 34.2mph, which is the highest of the autumn so far (pathetic really...700ft up, and that's the highest?!!)

Currently -1.7C, fog lifting, and another beautiful sunny day looks on the cards.
Northern Lights were good here too!

Had 5mm of rain last night, taking this month's total to 17.5mm...and Cumbria's meant to be wet?!

Currently 9.4C (warmest temperature since October 18th), grey, murky, damp, and horrible...wouldn't mind so much if it actually rained!

Interesting this morning, in as much as it dropped from -0.3C at 8am to
-2.4C by 8.32 am. Got up to 6.7C today, and is now currently 2.8C and clear....again.

Dropped back to -2.1C, clear skies, light northerly wind

Had a high today of a positively balmy 9.5C, and it's now dropped back to 5.4C. Had a few showers too, rain at this level, but Cross Fell, which I believe is nearly 3000ft, does have a dusting of snow. No more than that though.

Currently -0.5C, not a cloud in the sky, black ice everywhere, and totally gorgeous! Got down to -2.5C last night.

Currently it's 4.1C but chucking it down with not even any sign of sleetiness...weird! When it clears though, the Pennines should be nicely covered in white stuff....I'll let you know!

Now risen to 2.5C and the cloud's breaking and sun coming through. Obviously, it's stopped snowing too!

It's snowing here in Cumbria's Eden Valley. Thick fog this morning has lifted to very low, grey murk, and from it is falling proper light flakes of snow, settling instantly as it's still -1.5. Strange really, as we're on the western edge of the Pennines....perhaps it's just falling from the thick fog, like drizzle would if it was raining?

The fog has lifted to a very low cloud base, it is -1.5C and it is settling!

Well, last night it eventually dipped to -6.1C after only reaching 5.4C during the day. Currently -2.1C and freezing (I assume) fog with a visibility of around 100m. Not a puff of wind.

Well, I'm not far from Newton Aycliffe, albeit a bit further inland, and we had snow for a time last night, and it was settling. Woke up this morning though and nothing at this level. Currently 0.9C and blowing hard.
