Hi Chaps, im due a bit of back pay at the end of the month, and have been toying with the idea of getting myself a weather station. I could probably run to £500 - £600 and would prefer one that will download to my pc when im out.
Anyone have any suggestions on a good make/model, any tips on what and what not to get. Idealy, would like one with an integrated lightning detector, as well as the usual stuff.
Thanks a lot.

this is a really picky point, but one that would certainly make my time on here and im sure others to, much easier.
i have a ball type mouse and the ball is forever sticking and makes moving between the small boxes on the gfs chart viewer, both fidly and very frustrating.
would it be possible to include a "next" box on the time line, so instead of having to move the cursor to change the frame, you could just leave it on "next" and click away?
cheers

Light Snow shower here in Shrewsbury

Hi Pab, it sounds like we may have shrewsbury placed in the wrong location on the system, could you try it with your postcode and let me know if it's any better?
Thanks Paul, thats got it

Hi chaps, dont know if this is the place to ask, but i was wondering if there is a problem with the new forecasts. Frosts and generally low temps (especially at nights) are widely forecast for the whole week, but when i try to access the forecasts for Shrewsbury (which although a dull place weather wise isnt that far off the mark for the rest of the country!) , it tells me that the minimum night time temp is around the +8 to +10 mark.
So I guess what im really asking is, is there a problem with the system or is shrewsbury really a tropical back water?
Thanks

Took these shots just before and during a storm on the 19th july. The storm itself just about skirted us in Telford but made for a nice display anyway.
