Lol watching from home now, got out 10 miles onto the end of the mainland, beautiful rocks in the foreground with tide out, and forgot my remote release. At least I now know that location if nothing else, having a beer and watching this roll in
Nice one Paul

CRAZY. Best storm in YEARS, infact its still going. Some really intense CG's of the + type I think mixed in with a lot of clound and smaller strikes. Its been so long I forgot how bright lightning is and its vivid colour. My eyes hurt. Quite strange. What a system, and about damn time too.

When this cam pans around to the big wheel you can see the lightning in the distance http://www.viewsurf.com/univers/ville/vue/12460-france-poitou-charentes-la-rochelle-panoramique-temps-reel
I just waited for what felt like for ever for the wheel to come up. And saw one flash LOL.

Considering the BBC said earlier that activity will be west of London, there not doing too bad lol hahahaha

I was just looking at the NMM4 VS radar for 8pm. The difference is highly amusing

10 mins of heavy rain and a few rumbles and its now moved on.

I'm ready for some stormy action.... car has fuel and cameras charged lol. Just where to go...

Lots of elevated lightning to my south / southeast. Looks like the new cells south of Eastbourne in the Channel are becoming increasingly electrified. Lovely!
Thats great, ok, Now the plan to intercept it. Its moving too fast to get to brighton in time, so needs to be somewhere down the A22/A23....
-
Anyone near brighton? Any webcams? That lot should be visible....

amazing photos
Thanks, Needed a wider angle lens really. They were taken from within the car so not amazing but best luck ive had for a few years.

Cant wait to see some of the pics people get from this one.

Soo what do we know? Seems the trough is organising itself into a nice defined line heading NE. I reckon 2hours it will hit the midlands and diagonally down to London. Interestingly activity has picked up somewhat since its hit land, but looking good Shall have to sit back, wait and see

Really interesting this one, does also seem really elevated. Not often I see storms like this.
