Freezing rain here now quite heavy every thing crunchy as you walk across the concrete making a racket on the window as well

It's fleeting between light and moderate no accumulations I can tell we still have 95 % snow cover

Nothing unusual about spain really and the areas talked about the ski resorts are having a good season
-
On the current track it is going to be west London if not a bit more than that.
-
I think inland areas will get snow in the early hours looks to me that a band will be further west than they have said
-
Can see a few surprises tonight a band of snow will move through the region as ever someplace could get a slight covering others 2-5cms
-
Just the outside chance inland of a little snow before sunrise could be rain sleet in most places tonight
-
Is that in bedfordshire?
-
Uppers to warm for snow now I'm afraid
-
Temp 2c dew point 0.5c weather rain no hint of snow Bedford has been unlucky all winter not expecting that to change today
-
Not Here Also

-
Currently snowing lightly here now

game over, what a waste of my evening, why did the radar have to tease me with false hope
Lol seems to be a recurring theme this winter usually we do alright from anything southerly with the chilterns
Pepping up precipitation this year it's been unbelievable that a 5mile radius has had almost half the amount as everywhere else !
-
hmmm up to 0.8c here
Yep a 1c rise in the last hour here it surely wouldn't rain warmest it's been all day
-
4 degrees in Wootton (WTF!!!)
The Thaw has begun!!
It's -0.2 in Wootton no thaw and not rose above freezing all day

We sit in a so called "Valley" (One Side Dunstable Downs, the other is around Cranfield/MK area)
We are the driest county in th UK however, when a weather system enters our "Valley" it tends to stay for a greater length of time.
We are likely to get the snow later in the day as we are always likely to get low pressure systems, hence why you see on a radar the weather slightly veering towards us
Sit tight and watch the snow come in and get heavier
Yes but quite often when coming from the south the chilterns pep it up for us similar to last year , just this year seem to have be shielded quite unusual from that direction
-
i have an unhealthy obsession with the radar im willing that heavy snow to get to me
Been unhealthy with that all day heavy stuff not getting any further west than Stevenage or a1 , not sure we will do well out of this same as Friday , frustrating when all around has got 10cm and we have about 3cm oh well fingers crossed
-
Here in Bedford is there a reason why all the heavy snow has missed here this year it's the same as Friday all the heavy stuff skirting around us , is it geographical maybe ?
-
-9.9 here in rural Bedfordshire
-
Freezing rain is the most likely outcome here 850,s are at -5 to -6 ,ground temps at or below freezing , the problems come with the 950,s being at 2c! , the far east of this region may be ok just, but western areas only hope is heavy precipitation dragging the cold air down with it, a good example here that there is more than surface and 850,s needed to produce snow
-
interesting features tonight for east Anglia ,home counties and south east dew points below freezing , 850,s -5ish ,2m temps 1-2 could be a little more snow overnight
SE and East Anglia general weather discussion 03/03/2018 onwards
