  1. Hi all,

just wanted to show few pictures from Florence, that yesterday has been hit by the biggest snowfall from 1985.

It's quite unusual to get snow in Florence, definitely as much as 25 cm in the city centre, as happened yesterday between 12.30 and 21.30...!

My parents, on the hills just around had 35cm of snow...!

I missed this one unfortunately...but I had my 3-4 cm here in Bristol...! :smiliz19: :smiliz19:

    Enjoy it! Snow Queen

    Ciao,

    Leon

  2. well Bristol is not cooling off rapidly - many urban stations reporting -3 to -4 - it was about a degree cooler this time last night so I am doubting if it will be the coldest night of the winter here.

Martyn...I am not so sure about that. If you see yesterday night it at midnaight was already below -4 and then dropped only 2.5˚C...it the breeze stops I guess there is still time the go below -6.6... I wuold like though to see a High lower than 0˚. Today you went sooo close...!

  3. Hi guys

The (Sunday 12z) continuity of the UKMO-GM might prove of interest..... cold enough, anyone? whistling.gif

Hi everybody...I am fairly new in this forum. I have a couple of questions regarding this charts.

    1. What model is it?

    2. I see SUN12Z on all the 3 maps +72 then +84 and then +96...what does that mean? When the model has been initialized?

Sorry if they are stupid question, I just would like to understand.

    Thanks,

    Leo

  4. Whats coming through Bristol is heavy but fine. Not awe-inspiring but will eventually give a good cover as it seems set to continue for a few hours. Looks like a conveyor belt feeding it up through Brighton and then along the M4. (as long as it keeps its sourtherly component for a while out of Brighton)

To call it heavy snow you need a good amount of fantasy... :o :o
