  1. I thought we were a bit lucky lunchtime with 2cms out of nothing. Really threw it down. That then melted a bit in the sun. This evening we've had several heavy showers. Way heavier than anytime this spell. Must have 3-5cm this evening. The fact it's -3c everything is covered. Not sure about main roads though. If that's it for this snowy event them I'm satisfied thank you! Wish everyone could have this. So weird how localised it is.

    The emotions of the streamer!

Got excited as that big lump was coming straight for Maidstone only to change direction at the last moment, I can see the snow over the valley but the streamer is moving south now, aaargh! (Haha)

That's streamers for you, you either get it or you don't!

The cold spell will be ending soon, so make the most of it people, much better than last year

Where are you then. I'm near Studios and it's throwing down! Must have had 2cm so far its that heavy

I'm just south of Maidstone at 125m altitude - started settling around 7am and has snowed quite heavily since then. It's piling up along our east facing fence.

In 2018 we got about 20cm so I think my location usually gets lucky in this setup.

I'm fairly near Detling so I think it comes over the downs and dumps on both us me first then you. Sheppey is getting pasted so we're get what they had half hour later. Looks like we're right in the firing line looking at the satellite. It just keeps on coming! Yes we had 20cm in 2018 as well. We might get near it if this continues for next 12 hours. Which it could!

Since 2010 I’ve been chasing the snow like many here, where I live in Bearsted we’ve had a good 8 to 10 inches.

This morning while driving to the office me and snow had one hell of a falling out, but I’m home now and are friends again lol

from 7 this morning until a farmer pulled me out 4 hours.

When I was driving along the road there was a small layer of snow, car stared spinning the wind and then snow falling created drifts over 1m all within an hour between 7 and 8

Wow! I live near Bearsted. It wasn't near there though was it? We had a bit this morning but nothing that would give a drift like that. Unless you were on the downs?

Amazing pictures, there!! Wasn't it on the Hoo Peninsular, where a train got stuck in a huge snowdrift, in Jan 1987?I remember, the photos!! If memory serves, didn't British Rail buy a specially adapted locomotive, with snowplough, from Norway, only to get it back to the UK, to find it was the wrong gauge?

For Kentish folk, now in a snow mood. See link below and reminisce, about Jan 187. Enjoy!!

I'm old enough to remember that. I was commuting to London from Gravesend. A nightmare! I would say this cold spell has lower daytime temperatures. I'm sitting in my car in Maidstone area and it is -3.5c. Amazing!
