  1. Windows cleaned inside and out so i can now see properly. Although not as straight forward as i thought, had to go round next door and borrow some proper

cleaning product as theres only bleach and fairy liquid under my sink. I opted for the fairy and couldn't see out the bloody thing when i'd done.

Neighbour gave me a magic blue liquid called windolene, squirted it on, quick rub and PING, perfect. She's not getting that back.

Vinegar in warm water, Use old News papsers scrunched up, Dap the paper wet, polish the window - You wont get a better streak/mark free finish. :-))

  2. Has been snowing on and off all day and now snowing very heavily and is settling nicely. :D:D

Heavy snow falling now, between Leeds and Bradford, looks like its the start of it...

Heavy snow falling now, between Leeds and Bradford, looks like its the start of it...

Now it turned to sleet. :-(

  3. Spent the day around Leeds today, left home in Normanton West Yorks with about 3cm

Deepest Snow was up at Wetherby about 2"

Dreadful driving conditions off the main roads

Not been above 0oF all day

Roads became silly after about 3pm due to temp falling and slush turning to ice

Roll on Winter and some proper snow

    Very light snow falling.

    Bradford

  4. Been snowing since 5.00pm

very light for the first hour then got a bit (lets say) very light to light with some light to moderate spells

has covered most of the road (side road) and all pavements and cars

don't know how long this will go on for but I would say I have had about 1-2cms MAX

How does this warrant a Metoffice Warning??????????????????? :p

Are the roads meant to freeze?

  5. Yes I agree I tend to trust the GFS with these features, BUT the UKMO is a big improvement and can only be a good thing with it shifting N so dramatically. So we still need the 18z or later GFS runs to come on board... But here is one other good piece of news:

    http://91.121.94.83/modeles/gens/run/gens-21-2-42.png?12

GEFS ensemble mean is perhaps even better than the UKMO. So in summary:

UKMO, GEFS mean, ECM, JMA, NOGAPS and perhaps GME say YES for Yorkshire.

GFS operational and GEM say NO.

That's some majority in our favour! Quite a turnaround.

All i know is.... Just got in from a pub lunch and it started snowing with the TINYEST flakes. In the time its taken me to read a page and load pc, is doubled in size to small flakes. The car hasnt moved today, but it's turned from Dark Blue, to White!

Thank goodness I have a bottle of wine ein for the evening..

  6. So whats the situation atm, is the percip moving in slower than expected or is it further north atm than expected?

Im really hoping it gets here a few hours early that would mean a bit better chance of snow on roads  , if going by the beeb i expect it around 8am, and expect light and some times moderate snow, if it persists throughout the day i would of thought 3-5cm widely on ground that didnt have snow previously, but considerable more on ground with snow on as settling wont be an issue, it will stick like glue!!

Current temp -3.4c !!!!! Just keeps on dropping, according to beeb low tonigh of -2.c :D / misty as well

Its a real PEA soup THICK fog here. Surely that isnt good though is it? I know theres no wind about, lol.
