  1. Some news on the evacuation attempt.. It is estimated that there are still around 25,000 villagers which are refusing to leave the risk area as they don't believe there will be a major eruption.

    Scientists fear that the intense build up of magma may cause a large blast, sending just about everything crashing down the mountain side. :o

  2. Staff from Indonesia's Volcanologic Survey, have manned the posts once again, however they are ready to quickly rush out when the main blast happens, which is expected to happen very soon.

    It must be a really interesting job to get to watch such amazing natural events, though I do hope they are ready to run for it when it happens! :)

    Tsunami warning in place.

    Buildings swayed in the capital Jakarta, some offices were evacuated, there are no reports of damage or casualties.

  4. I have always had a slight fear of lightning during the night. The thunder doesnt really bother me as much, as it usually begins quietly and builds up louder as the storm gets closer. I think the lightning only bothers me becuase you never know when its going to flash, so the 'waiting' part is the worst. The strange thing is I will track and listen out for storms, but once they actually arrive, I miss it all because my head is buried somewhere :)

    * AT 306 PM CDT...A DEVELOPING TORNADO WAS DETECTED BY DOPPLER RADAR

    7 MILES SOUTHWEST OF FREEDOM...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.

    * THE TORNADO WILL BE NEAR...

    FREEDOM AROUND 315 PM CDT...

    CAMP HOUSTON AROUND 320 PM CDT...

  6. A long line of severe storms is moving north down near the western boarder of Oklahoma at the moment.

    TORNADO WARNING is in effect for Woodward County.

    Theres also some very large hail associated with these storms (2.5-2.75").

  7. A funnel cloud reported from the Pratt county cell. A hook has formed near Pratt, there is a rotating wall cloud seen but no tornado as yet.

    The cell is heading NE towards Stafford at the moment, a tornado could develop at any time.
