its been a great winter, although every snow event has been unpredictable, like its snowing in Luton, but further east as its heading in, such has Haverhill its rain. Weird weather. Im not expecting anything tonight, would love a couple of inches of snow

isnt it too warm for snow here atm, 37f outside, needs to be atleast 32f with even lower Dew points, can we see this dropping alot in the next few hrs?

Getting serious here. The camera fails to pick up how heavy it actually is.
If we have 2hrs of this I can see huge problems later and looking at the radar this is possible.

raining here in felixstowe, was really heavy at 9am and was gutting to think how heavy snow it'd have been if the temps were right. ILS, Whats the situation in Ipswich? Will I be suprised when I get home tonight?

its supposed to be here at about 8am so only 9hrs of movement to go, the snow will probably not even show up atm

well I'll take PS's opinion any day. He's been around for a while so know's his stuff. I really don;t think you can pick too many things wrong with the guestimations. I myself have been around for ages (previously theredarrows)over 1700 posts, and therefore know within reason IF/When something will happen

well the BBC and ITV news are cheeky sods in these setups. my bet is that BBC on sky will go as far as say Thursday at the most. And then hint that snow may be on the way. This winter has been fantastic IMO, best for years. I wouldn't say the snow didnt deliver for Suffolk yesterday because to be fair to get 4 inches in snow is alot by the UK standards. It only seemed like we'd been left out when places like Surrey got 12-15 inches which is a mamouth amount. I'm watching friday with one eye open. I think if it comes off and then thats it for the winter, we can all, minus a few people, be very happy with what we've received tbh :lol:

temps will drop in s couple of hrs, Im hopinh the pnn will turn back to snow, its not heavy atm anyway. Whats the prospects on snow this evening

What makes you think that Dave? I mean I'd expect it on coastal areas such as felixstowe, and around sizewell as it's right on the sea but tbh we're a good few miles inland,15 miles ish. I hope your wrong

ILS stop saying that lol you'll jinx us. Looks as if the next lump in the north sea is stalling a little. Lets hope it stays like this. I'd rather it be bigger bits tbh to let it settle better but again, rather this than sleet

yeah i saw that on bbc news a little while ago, Pretty cool it was captured. I think it hit a bridge and not substation as first thought. The guy looked like he;d seen a ghost. classic. TBH we've not received alot here, bbc are bigging up tomorrows event so we will see. Hopefully we'll get more tonight

think your telling porkies tinybill tbh, no blizzard in ipswich and im near centre of it. A little snow falling though. BBC weather just hyped up SE streamer but did say East would get hammered tomorrow

....................according to the satelite, an area of much more dense cloud is making its way over the sea. Because the radar doesn't really pick up the precip in this area, could someone tell me whether this is where our snow is coming from for tonight?
yeah it looks like its about to hit east anglia, bbc news weather is now on, reports would be nice

ive got the money but would feel nervous going all that way with people i'd never met before. Sounds childish I know but IF I was garunteed there would be a nice bunch of guys then I'd def go. hopeuflly I can win the competition that netweather has, then I won't say no for sure, love freebies

Haven't posted on here for a lonnggg time now lol, I have previously used the nickname redarrows which some people may remember. Either way, looking good for snow, im off to Kent tomorrow for some shopping but before that am on duty tonight so spare a thought lol, be in a car which isn't too bad. Is kent supposed to get anything tomorrow as I'm heading down on the M25 at 9am.
