    I wouldn't be too sure, I think all areas will see favourable conditions at some point.

    The North and East will see best conditions from the NEsterly

    The North and West from the NWsterly

    The South from the battle between mild and cold air.

    I'm just very surprised at how this winter is panning out so far....its absolutely amazing, we thought we'd never top last year this year, here we are again with even better conditions than last year.

    opps lol i didnt mean the east and south east exclusivly :( I only meant as in we got hardly any snow here last week and would fair better if this next cold outbreak were to happen :)

    Had some rain showers here this am, but at about 1.40pm we had a hail shower with some snow mixed in:clap:over the Irish sea some big cumulus clouds seem to be building and in the last hour winds have felt even colder :)also some of the clouds have precip falling over the sea in them :rofl: :wacko: hopefuly here in wicklow we will see some snow before the northwest wind kicks in as its not realy good for us here :yahoo:

    Its very borderline alright. The temps across the midlands are still pretty low, so we probably wont see a major rise in temp just yet, even when the westerly sets in.

    yea later today the temp will rise but I dont mind to be honest I would rather have proper snow any day than this cold rain, sleet and snow mix.... we had a good covering earlier but is thawing quiet fast now.. whats the story with tomorrows front moving from the south?

    Snowing moderately heavy here in Dublin for last 2 hours.

    A totally fresh covering on icy ground. I would say about 1 to 2 inches.

    yea I can verify that, here in Wicklow town there is about an inch of snow on the ground again B)

    White out conditions here in Arklow.

    Snow flakes the size of small bungalows :D

    Really heavy stuff and thats coming down on the not so tardy amounts we already have :D

    Here in Wicklow we had a white out about an hour ago :D its weird cause last night it was sleet and today the showers are back to snow again :D although I think the showers are getting few and far between but was great to see some unexpected snow :)
