Why is it that a reported tornado out in the (comparative) sticks somewhere is almost guarenteed to generate at least a picture, but one in the middle-class suburbs of London (where the requirements of daily life mean that at least a third (at a guess) of people have a decent phone or camcorder), passes by almost entirely unrecorded. I wonder if it has anything to do with the "wizard of oz" (ie, the 'It'll never happen to me' concept resulting in increased panic and suprise)?
Probably because at street level in London you do not get a huge view, so any tornado as short lived as this one would almost certainly not get photographed.
If I saw one I would be running, not fruiting around getting my mobile out of my pocket.

Can you please tell me how I add an image in the posts? I ask because I am trying to add a picture from Chimet site and it keeps saying dynamic pictures aren't allowed (or something like that)

A lovely day, sunshine and cloud, very windy, just had a F10 gust. 47.6knot

Feeling perishing cold here now. Temp of only 3.6C at the moment and a F5 wind blowing.

Just looks very autumny down here.
I blame the gulf stream (and i'm usually right when i blame something)

The leaves of my cherry tree completely refuse to change colour. It nearly blew over in the wind yesterday.
Only the apple trees seem to be losing their leaves.
Saying that, i was trudging through piles of fallen leaves when i was walking home, so maybe it's because our garden is pretty sheltered...
-
Got soaked a few minutes ago as i was walking home.
Dry for the moment
12.6C outside
24.6C inside. Much better...
It's still overcast here, but not too dark.
-
7mm rain overnight and current temperature 11.9C
Cloudy and breezy
-
Gusting up to 55mph in Chichester harbour, Force 10.
Our cherry tree looks like it's going to end up in shoreham...
-

I was just wondering how the total members posts are calculated, as i've posted about 15 times on the same thread, but it says my total posts is only 11 (or 12)
This was from my profile
Total Cumulative Posts 12

Thanks

Looks like the roughest time will be between 6-9am. Not much fun if you get seasick.
