the Met office are giving gusts of around 45mph for London about 5pm.....the center of 'Brian' is around Dublin now heading NE i think

  2. There was a tornado in Haverfordwest yesterday evening if you fancy checking out the damage..

Yes Tony it was pretty interesting down this way, sleet, snow ,rain, thunderstorm all at the same time, that tornado made the news UK wide :)

  3. All schools in Pembrokeshire have been closed because of the weather, it has been announced. People are being urged to stay indoors.

All sent home about 13:00, roads closed because of downed trees, one of ours here hasnt blown over it has snapped off about 5ft off the ground and that is a 25ft conifer, houses have been damaged in the local towns and roads closed to, still like a low drone noise all the time then a howling gust,  terrible, worst yet by far.

  4. unless something is drastically wrong here.....we are suppose to get 70mph+ winds from the SW in front of the 'storm', according to the BBC the low is not far off Pembs coast now (they got that right all along)....but the wind here is 7mph flat calm and drizzle?....and 70+mph from the NW as the low passes through?.....perhaps something drastic will happen as it goes inland?.......stay safe everyone on the south coast i dont envy you one bit under 70+mph winds........good night.

  5. Can someone tell me if it is going to be worse here in South Wales tomorrow than what it is today...trees are not looking good out in my back garden so don't know weather or not to move the kids from the back bedrooms..

its not very good out here today heavy rain and strong winds, keep an eye on the track of this storm if you can, if it goes North into Cardigan bay it will take in more of South Wales into the 60+ mph winds....but if you are in any doubt move the kids anyway, we have done so a few times in the past, and on one occasion exiting the rear of the house at 2am in the morning as the front part of the house roof was dissapearing down the road tile by tile....... if some people on here think 70-80mph is a damp squib...your welcome to come and sit under it......Posted Image
