  1. Upper level developments are whats driving the snow - rather than surface fronts. Cloud formation is looking good across the near continent, and with some persistent snow already in the southeast expected to push northwestwards it looks as if much of central/southern England and Wales could see more heavy snow during the next 36 hours, followed by a respite later Monday before the next spell of heavy snow moves in from the southwest on Tuesday / Wednesday. Could be some large total accumulations across parts of the southwest - especially the Moors and Cotswolds.

  2. Hi guys,

    first post for me! Here in the Forest of Dean we had damaging winds for most of Thursday morning and the first half of the afternoon. Power was cut to around 6,500 homes, at about 1pm, and as i post, has not been reconnected to everyone. Lots of tree and branch damage, fence panels blown down, and tiles removed from roofs.
