13.6c and 78 mm please.

"Drier" spells certainly aren't what they used to be.

More hail and thunder and lightning, looks like a line.
-
White over from a torrential hail shower, complete with thunder and lightning!
-
Suddenly got very windy here in the last half hour for some reason.
-
2 welcome early rumbles here in the last 5 minutes. That may be our lot for 2024 of course!

9.5C and 87mm please.

Hmm. Looking at the amount of snow down in the West country, I wonder what awaits us here later in the night?

A late 6.3C and 70mm please.

Yes Matt, heavy sleety snow. Welcome to spring. I hate our stupid weather .

Don't get me wrong, I hate cold weather, I just don't think that daffs should be blooming this early in this area. The sooner May's here the better, I don't doubt for a second that we'll pay for the winter with an unseasonably cold spring, as has become the norm these last few years.

I was amazed to see daffodils blooming while out this morning. Middle of February? They'll be gone before the equinox!
Get a grip daffs, this is Stoke, not the Scilly Isles.

Dry here now. Just the slightest cover on grass and roofs

MattStoke A mixture of snow and sleet in Bucknall, if it was to get a little heavier? ProbablY going to be a frustrating day, seeing cars coming down from Werrington with snow covered roofs!

5.2C & 75mm please

Windier this evening than at any time on during Isha. Just goes to show what a slight difference in wind direction can mean.

Undoubtedly an unpleasant evening, but really nothing happening here. Less windy than we had a couple of weeks ago. Maybe it's just the shelter and things will change with the wind direction.

4.0C & 45mm please

Wind picking up here, and I see on the Winking Man cam that it's back to snow on the moorlands.

Met Office warning for snow just to my north. Mentions snow to low levels, becoming confined to above 150m.
Most of this area is above 150m but only seeing rain.
What a swiz!
Still snow on the Winking Man camera, so more like 300m. I suppose it might drop in any heavier bursts, but we are in a rain shadow from this sort of set up anyway.

Strange that the weather on the ground really isn't matching the radar for virtually anyone. It's been dry here for the past hour and a half, yet we've been under continuous snowfall. It would be nice to top-up the 0.5cm!

Been under snow on the radar for the past half hour. Not a flake to be seen.
Yes Matt, its not even the lightest pink shade, but nothing to be seen.

The older I get the more I prefer milder weather. Of course i still love snow, it's just the cold i hate! I like stormy weather too, nothing quite like lying in bed on a winters night and hearing the wind roariing outside while the rain smashes against the window!

Forum is slow

The forums are always fine for me, what is really beginning to annoy, is that for years, my 1st port of call every night is the ECM charts. For the past month or so, on about half the nights, each frame loads so slowly, that I invariably give up and have to head over to Wetter.
