BA Baracus

Around 4 inches here on flat surfaces. Nothing in comparison to some in South Yorkshire but better than I thought we would get yesterday evening! All local schools closed and lots of issues on roads.

Looking on Google maps round Huddersfield shows a lot of orange/red roads indicating slow, stuck traffic especially on inclines near Lepton/Grange Moor. A lot of the grit will have been washed away earlier so roads will be treacherous.

Lucky you! Hope we get to those levels! We had pitiful amounts with just a slushy mess despite snow all day.

Radar starting to look very interesting. Met office still seem bullish with their 10-20cm widely im the amber forecast based on recent social media postings so fingers crossed!

Very light snow, but starting to cover all surfaces including the roads and pavements. First time this has happened today.

Very poor here today. Continual snow but barely anything settling, just a horrible slushy, wet mess. Not at all hopeful for tonight, although sledge dusted off for kids just in case we miraculously get a covering!
