Very confusing when charts show snowmageddon and Met O shows no precip at all! Anyone like to elaborate?
-
Hmmm not confident at all, Met O showing nothing at all for south Central. I fear another disappointment to end another very poor Winter. I stand to be corrected though
-
Would be nice to see some more snow down here to finish Winter off. Not too sure of it settling though. Will have to wait and see I guess! If not its back to Norway next year for a real Winter, with Aurora!!
-
Hope this snow lasts around the Wimborne / Blandford area at least until tomorrow! Melting quite quickly from trees etc

I must say the 'quality' of the snow is not the same as it is when it comes from the east. Its much wetter and mushy. Started to all from trees now. Hope some lasts for a photo trip tomorrow!

All seems very marginal, I feel a spectacular flop on the cards. Meto still keeping the forecast so must be some confidence though in snow...

Hmmm I'm really struggling with this one TBH is got positively warm down here in Wimborne area, steady patchy rain too. Going to need a serious temp change for it to get to snow I think. Looks like I will be traveling to see snow on sat! Really want the snow spectacular, just lost confidence in it at the moment.

Up against it even before the usual Poole Harbour snow shield has been deployed!. Going to be a nowcasting Friday I think!
I know what you mean snowlight. As a Landscape Photographer I can't wait!! The coast will always be iffy but I will be pushing inland. Up in to North Dorset could be awesome. a few miles can make all the difference! Lets hope this all verifies!

These situations are always so knife edge. Would love to see some decent snow fall but will have to wait and see. METO showing it a possibility on Monday morning.
-
Can see plenty of convection here, fingers crossed, some really photogenic skies of late.
-
Thank you Bish, glad you like them

Hello all,
We have had some superb skies in the last week or so down here in Dorset. Thought I would share this one with you all...

Certainly a good idea SFL, would be interested, being south central would add another area of coverage. The only limiting factor being storms! Cant remember the last decent storm we had down here on the coast!
-
Until its actually falling, I'll take everything with a pinch of salt
-
Ill join this club too then! Wash out last night! Do love the Net weather radar though! great work

This year has been dire!! A real struggle to get decent winter conditions to photograph!

I reckon another bust for down here to be honest. Time will tell though.
-
Still think it will be a bust people
-
Freezing wind here on the Bournemouth over cliff, it's all wrong more like an October low moving in to be honest! Still strikes
-
I can confirm the stuff to the south west is dead as a dornail! Got a clear view zero strikes
-
Bournemouth Over cliff I reckon. Im going to call it about half 6 and decide whether its a go or no go...
-
Hhmm looking at that rainfall prediction unless your in North Wales or the Irish sea all your see is a bit of light rain!
-
Very true Richep!

A great shame, was hoping to get out tomo morning for a snowy photo shoot. Lets face it the only conditions that seem to come off here are Atlantic wind and rain!
