We're not working in the same office are we? At the top of a hill overlooking the sea?

😃

Hope yours is totally melted by morning :-p

Praying the ppn makes to the IoM and dumps! Been light snow to lower areas here since Friday with no accumulations :-( anyone fancy guessing the chances?
-
Me and the little man just went up to the mountain for an hour :-) don't worry guys, IMO any decent tops should see a good bit of snow in the next week so be prepared to drive to it!
Was getting heavy up there and left before it covered the road again. Rain next to the beach where I live
-
That snow on IOM is on the highest mountain - 1000ft I believe. Rain everywhere else at the moment and light at that
-
0.1 on the isle of man tonight-cold one for us on our tropical isle!
-
Still persistent rain on the Isle of Man. Been raining since early this morning and no signs of it letting up yet.
If conditions are right for you in the north west, expect a good few hours worth of snow.
Gutted its been a rain event for us but to be expected I suppose
-
Falling lightly on the IOM as rain. Temps far too high unfortunately
-
Those streamers are currently delivering hail to the Iom giving a couple of cm to the road outside my house at least. My house is about a meter above sea level lol!
If the rest of that big streamer on rain today passes over us then we could see significant levels here
-
First snow on the isle of man. Mountain road webcams show a slight covering we had overnight. Rain at lower levels

Just checked the netweather local forecast for the IOM - 104mph gust at 00.00 Friday :s
-
The SE part of the Island will be more sheltered as the winds will be westerly at the strongest. 80-90mph gusts possible on the north side perhaps isolated 100mph gusts.
I did think that the SE would be quietest, tbh though I think this will be an event to remember! Not normal that the island can expect to receive some of the same kind of weather as the rest of the NW-we normally get rain when you get lovely snow!
Here's hoping that the showers that come after will produce some decent snowfall

I'm a former Manxman myself.
The North and West of the Island will be extremely stormy. Peel will be taking a battering. Still stormy in the south west including Douglas and Castletown but they will be sheltered a wee but from the worst.
If you want to experience the worst get up to Jurby head, wouldn't be surprised to see a 100mph gust there.
I'm what the locals would refer to as 'a comeover'! However I have lived here for 20 years now!
I'm in Douglas so a trip to jurby might be a tad risky if I planned on making it home Thanks for replying-always good to hear from fellow manxies!

This might seem like a silly question, but anyone like to describe how the isle of man will fair out of this?
Love extreme weather but this looks a tad dangerous!
-
Just been on the storm thread and the winds are looking pretty severe for Thursday!
Can anyone hazard a guess as to whether the isle of man will see some of the white stuff with th upcoming set-up? I must say its looking marginal for us but then what do I know!
-
Ok got to be Ronaldsway, Isle of man. 78mph
-
The beeb temps are always out of whack with what they actually are.
Completely agree. BBC had Isle of Man at 0c tonight when I have currently have -4.2c showing!
-
-2.7 on the Isle of Man and dropping at a rate of about -0.3 every 15 minutes. About 1m ASL
Had about 5in of snow Tuesday morning and non-gritted roads have turned to sheet ice-loving it!
Here's to the start (for us at least) of a lot more to come
-
bright cool morning, some thin broken cloud, 6mph wind from NNW
Where do you get your info from? I live in Douglas!
Oh, just seen the link lol!
