The Colder upper air must be gradually making its way in as we have had the kitchen sink thrown at us in the last hour from the showers, I think once we get into darkness the temps will really start to fall

Just had a tweet from The Met its back on!!!
-
Warnings now removed by The Met for South West lol !!!
-
Looks like Cornwall could be becoming the sweet spot for this weekend!!
-
The Temperatures and dew points do seem to be rising now on the cornwall weather stations, but you never know!
Tumbling now! What is going on!?
-
We have had a good shower of hail here in Truro .... A good white cover on the ground also.... Becoming more wintery all the time now!
I was driving in that shower and can confirm there were also some large flakes mixed in as well

From the forecast I saw earlier the low splits into 2 and the southern part forms into a low which brings the threat of snow looking at the radar this is possibly evident now with the figure of 8 rainband forming if you see what I mean? The ppn over Cornnwall, although fairly heavy isnt covering a large area - cant imagine that would produce a lot of snow if cold enough. Is the main feature for tonight/tomorrow what's appearing over SW Ireland?

Thunder being reported in Helston on Twitter

Quite an immense forecast by David Braine on Spotlight for Cornwall and Devon tommorrow afternoon snow down to low levels as the low moves along the channel and drags in the cold air!!

The Perranporth weather station saying -2 and dew point -4 this is going to be close also worth noting is that scilly isles tempreture has only risen 1oc
-
For the Cornish people on here I think we are still within a chance of seeing a flake or 2 tonight bearing in mind late last night there was an hour of light snow in st ives, a handy little weather station to keep an eye on is Perranporth currently 0.2 and dewpoint of -2.7 easily found on google under Perranporth Weather Station its based at the private airfield so its quite reliable.

Heavy hail showers in West Cornwall since darkness, is the colder air now starting to give us a visit, this is the most wintriness we have seen this winter!
-
Already an inch of rain in my gauge! west cornwall
-
Unbelieviably heavy rain in West Cornwall at the moment somewhere will get a lot of snow out of this - though note it has turned a lot warmer here now!
-
Looks like the rain is fast approaching according to the radar looks relatively heavy but not that extensive
-
Just plain old rain in Cornwall at the moment!
-
Hearing from a friend that it is currently snowing in parts of the cotswolds
-
The Showers are non- existent as the radar says they are directly overhead of me and nothing here!! also worth taking note if the radar is slightly inacurate their position is how they are starting to move from north to south.Lol already showers from the stalling front into Cornwall rather worrying or good ?? as the GFS doesn't have any PPN anywhere near the West country for the next 12 hours , If we get into a situation where the PPN beats the warm sector that would be great ... Worth mentioning as that is what the radar is currently showing and any early PPN that got in tonight would be snow
