Nice clear and sunny start to the day - cloud started to appear at around 10:30 and cloud cover increased to 100% around 12:00 and now raining heavy-ish but not too bad.... Temp around 16c from a high of 18.5c at 11:00.....
But I notice fun and games in the Midlands at the moment....

There I was watching the football and flash bang wallop - thought Grangemouth had gone bang ! Quiet again now but it will take a while for the hail to melt.

Drizzling now and a lot brighter and looking at the free Radar that should be it.... lots of lightning strikes in the hills north of Stirling - wouldn't want to be hillwalking just now!
-
Rain here has stopped - but it's getting dark again - looking at radar the band is indeed heading this way and then the radar has nothing so hopefully the sun will come out and dry it up
Correction - just started raining again.... very heavy.... torrential and gettiing heavier
-
Thunderstorm - Linlithgow / Grangemouth ish... heavy rain been going for about 30 minutes
-
well i have to say this is the most extreme storm i have seen in years, lightning every 2 or 3 seconds very intense booming thunder, and the clouds are rising and moving around in all directions
very intresting to watch, never seen clouds move around like this before
To quote Freddy and the boys.... Thunderbolt and lightning - very very frightening me / Gallileo, Gallileo, / Gallileo, Gallileo, / Gallileo Figaro - magnificoooooooo
In Edinburgh just now - it's a bit like a Lord of the Rings Mordor film set with sound effects - been going for about an hour so far... can't see the clouds moving as seem to be underneath - glad I am not landing at the airport!!
Rainfall is pretty impressive too
Hope it doesn't head for T in the Park
-
Flash - good choice as you drive towards the big clouds!
-
Fantastic pictures - what a structure - just superb!
interestingly there appears to be a half moon in the third of audmun photo's
-
The Dumas cell will pass over the team's current position - attached radar is a bit behind. Rapid development on this one.
Looks impressive on tornadoVideos.net as well as the Netweather team - shame no sound - enjoyed that before - great viewing though!
-
Good Pictures but has the sound gone for a techie reason?

You guys are having far too much fun.... Have to say your live stream is more fun than watching the election coverage.....
Hope nobody is planning on flying back this weekend - The Ash Cloud strikes back.....
