Are you planning a fell walk, be warned conditions could be abymal with a high windchill factor. I go walking regularly and would be put off going high tomorrow..
Ha ha, I wish, no i'm working up there.
-
Yes I don't want to blow the trumpet for inland Cumbria but we do look primed for some intense snow showers - the fells will aid the intensity and evaporative cooling, shouldn't be any marginal conditions. Penrith should do preety well I think as well. Not a day to be out on the fells, -24 windchill forecast!
Hi Damian.. I have to travel from Troutbeck Bridge to Seatoller at the top end of Borrowdale tomorrow morning and return at 5ish, what do you think of my chances of getting there and back..?
Chris..

something in the gardan has collapse here under weight of snow.
Just heard branches braking under the weight of snow in the woods behind our house...
-
so many reports of blizzards yet it's really still outside here. shame
it's dead still out here too, snow coming down like stair rods, not easing at all..
-
still snowing here, it's falling fast which suggests it's a bit wet..
-
Rain today radar has black areas on it serious amounts of snow for some.
Looks like Lancaster area, anybody on here from that area..?
-
Certainly nothing but milder air tied in with the bulk of the precip out west, I am very doubtful we'll be receiving anything but hail/rain now.
Ever the optimist... he he..
-
the ppn thats over Ireland, will it intensify as it passes over the Irish sea..?
-
The missus is watching "the day after tomorrow" which is providing an excellent sound track as I look out the window..lol
-
been snowing here all day since 9am, starting to get really heavy now, just hope it lasts now the temp is dropping...
-
Stopped snowing here now... My missus says if we don't get lots of snow she'll ring "them" up and complain....

I thought this was a weather related thread, I didn’t come on here to listen to your opinions on world affairs, I’m sure you could find somewhere else to express them and leave us to talk about the weather
