Amber warnings starting to pop up..

Anybody else think the whole front looks more solid than was expected? not spotting many gaps!
I'd put money on formations starting to bubble up in the gap between the front and the coast similar to what popped up yesterday out of nowhere in the middle of the country..

From my eyes its not exactly "stalling" just yet.. and looking at the streamers out to sea when the wind direction does change theres going to be plenty pushing in land..

Looking at the radar the front has got to be upto Leeds b4 Lunch.. Half day on the cards..

Should keep all the doom merchants happy.. take a look on the radar.. this unforcast snow looks like its getting heavier.. bonus..

Looking at the 12:40ish Beeb update some proper showers from the east coast well past Leeds on sat.. Fri might be a downgrade for us but but think were in prime position for sat onwards..

Theres a little band of breakaway precip on the Radar.. seems to be heading our way.. anyone else got snow currently??

We would of seen any easterly winds affecting this bunch by now.. if anything I think any easterly influence as these come down now will curl the showers in perfectly..
I wouldnt worry bout the loss of data on rain today.. they will be back on the radar at 10:00 update..

looking at the trajectory on the radar I think, as long as they hold some decent intensity, they should clip leeds which would mean I'd be in the firing line at Wf8..
Not much work to be done today tho :unsure: all eyes on the radar..

looking like were in the firing line for these showers.. should hit the coast in an hour or so then they should pass somewhere inbetween leeds and grimsby just after lunch.. could be a. interesting comute home for some..

Which forecast are you goin off Jed?? The Beeb seem to playing down our chances and yesterdays total white out for Thursday has all but vanished?? I hope there wrong..
jinx.. Mr H does get a vit carried away with snow potential I think.. Fingers crossed anyway..

The latest BBC forcast didnt show much in the way of showers for us overnight.. Be nice to see if they get this as wrong as the band just passing straight over us..

I'm in pontefract.. just south of leeds.. we got about an inch over night and had 2 light flurries this morning.. but the band of precip just keeps floating over york.. leeds.. hudersfield.. they keep saying the winds are gunna head south?? anybody have any faith in that?? would like to put a time on it?? am still hopefull for a top up of snow to make Mad Friday pub run a bit more entertainin..
edit: very light showers off and on but nothing showing on radar..

I'm hopefull for some showers.. now the precip has got this far before it stalls and heads south I think its counterclockwise rotation will throw us some scraps..

Same here with the fog.. kinda spooky..
Theres a small breakaway band of precip just starting to appear to the south of leeds..
Were is the money going.. Rain Sleet or snow??

Does anybody have a Temp/Due point for Leeds?? Looks rather warm and sunny from in the office..

Beeb weather forecast just had the precip extending up over nearly all of Yorkshire this eve hanging around and then anticlockwisely descending south east.. bulk of it as rain tho.. :lol:
They went on to say and Rip Roaring Northerlies on the way tho??

Feeling less confident than yesterday.. Is it gunna reach us.. will it be snow and not rain.. Could it stall and deliver a foot of snow.. :o
A lot of rain sleet comments in the lower threads.. the radar seems to be pushing it north-east.. need it to swing more north a bit if were stand any chance reckon??

Coming down a bit heavier here.. not enough to settle on the roads.. Anybody know how long the leeds area is going to get snow today?? are we in the "stall zone"??

Heavy snow big flakes yet again.. lets hope this is it for the rest of the night.. no more stopping and starting..

Looking on the radar the real beefy stuff is over Stoke on Trent now (07:14).. Gonna be an interesting watch to see if it makes it east and settles on us..
