yup temperatures here in Bristol 4.6 dew point -1 :/
-
Hmmm.. Rather South Cornwall.
If they construct the Severn Barrage Weston-super-mare would turn into a golden sand and clear water beach something to think of for the future maybe
-
Think it will potentialy be a "work from home day" on Friday, don't fancy driving from Frome to Bristol at 5:30am....
Quick techie question, if the winds are pulling cold air up from the south I'm surprised any snow we may have will potentialy turn back to rain (as indicated in the NAE charts Active Weather Dude posted earlier)..... I would have guessed this may have possibly been a all snow event? - As you can guess im not a weather guru...:-)
Is anyone able to explain why this may turn back to rain
Cheers all, and GL
Now I am no expert either but
Think its because there coming from more a south westerly and its not that cold in north west France / English channel seas have a warming effect on the temperatures...
Temperatures in France as the event is happening

Thanks - what time is the NAE 18Z published - i usually view the NAE, only on occasions, via Weatheronline

"yes, the NAE and UK4/UKV handling will be interesting. MOGREPS probs of over 5cm are non-trivial for fair swathe of country." latest from Ian F on Twitter the important models will come into play tomorrow
-
Just hang on a second!
I came on and read the model thread on monday to find that everythings awesome!!
Then i cam eon yesterday and found that everythings gone down the tube and that is that. No arguing , Thats it, over. Spring is here?
Now you telling me that we have no model agreement again and possible upgrades?
Oh and is this no longer the case?
Pretty much
Who knows what tomorrow will bring!?!?!? On a side note tomorrow is when the High Resolution NAE comes into play and with this we will finally be able to set some things into stone..... maybe
P.S I have applied for a job at the Met Office fingers crossed

Ian Fergusson @fergieweather1m
Yes...“@NickIceJones: @fergieweather NAE latest run moves threat further south and west again? M4 corridor and surrounds looking prime now?â€
latest from ian f replying to my tweet

tbh, Even with the low moving north or south it will be interesting weather for us..
Its either
Breezy with snow showers..
Really windy with rain...
Im not sure what id prefer.. The Snow certainly will look nice, but wont come to much..
infact the snow could be 5-10cms over the likes of the cotswolds - latest from met

@
@NickIceJones correct. 1-2cm uplands. High-res UK4 model restricts it to Exmoor (few cm); less settling Mendips, Forest of Dean & Cotswolds

Also in Bristol there a new aquarium has opened its really good me and a few uni mates went there would recommend for any1 who loves fish as much as I do! So if you live near/in Bristol go have a peak !

You forgot teachers in the unloved list. We only work for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week and have 14 weeks holiday a year. We also have days off when it snows.
