  1. Any thoughts on Sunday yet for the London area? I'm doing the Winter 10K and most forecasts seems to be going towards it being dry if cool in the morning, but I've noticed the local ITV weather seem keen to sweep in some low pressure and rain.
  2. Morning all, a fair start here in South London/Surrey or wherever you geographically place Croydon, sitting at around 13c. The only thing the forecasts seem to agree on is that we could reach 23c in these parts. Apart from that the BBC are going for wall-to-wall sun and everywhere else is going from a bit of cloud to complete cloud cover by mid-morning. Be interesting to see how that pans out.
  3. I have to agree, was in Central last night for a musical, around 5pm it was decent enough, by the time we've had food and left to get to the theatre at around 6.30 there was a chill in the air, by the time we got out at 10.10 my thin jumper really wasn't enough. With this breeze as you roll into the evening it's like a different world to what was usable a few hours before. We're out again today seeing some friends and I'm wearing my hoodie today!
  4. The sun is out here for once, but the wind isn't helping. Kenley weather station is hovering around 16c!
  5. As others, the weather is usable during the day bit the wind is nagging a bit and the temperatures do fall during the evenings. Off to the theatre this evening, then meeting friends in town on Saturday before the last day of the football season on Sunday before travelling to the NW.
  6. Hey all, Another bright-night season is upon us. It's a season I don't get on with mainly as despite as dark as bedroom I can make my body always seems to decide to wake up as sunrise occurs so I'm fighting 5am wake-ups at present! Working in education the sun always seems to roll back to around 9pm sunset as the school year finishes which is 8 weeks or so away. I always find the May-July time difficult, I think it's due to mentally knowing that come August we start loosing daylight rapidly (3.5mins a day on average) and for whatever reason my body relaxes more. I'm not a huge fan of the long-dark winter nights but I can get along with them better than the daylight period between May-July.
  7. It might have got to around 36c here, but the local weather stations only rose by 0.5c in the last hour so looks like the forecast high of 36c was pretty spot on.
