Thats what I call spring proper.

Yes been a cracking day so far, up there with 82 I reckon, still coming down and drifting.
I think 82 was bigger, there were 20ft drifts in places.

The snow train does seem to be heading for Cardiff via W-S-M

I'm under a yellow / orange echo, nothing spectacular at the moment.
You answered the question I was just about to ask... disappointing answer though ;-)

Correct, that would have been January 96 if my memory is correct.
That date sounds about right... no health & safety in those days as the buses were still running

Guys - do not be deceived by the powder snow falling versus bigger flakes we normally see when temps are slightly higher. It will build up thru the night.
Our 'base of snow' here is already 3 inches, even though no big flakes.
I think you are correct... normally we do not see powder snow just the wet stuff.

Near enough a white out here in Stoke Lodge Bristol!

It has just started turning wintry here in Stoke Lodge :-)
-
If the temperatures from last Friday until now had been below freezing the amount of lying snow in the region would of been quite remarkable.
Such a shame the temperature hasent been that cold, if it had stayed below zero throughout this recent period then this would of been quite an event.
Yes temperatures have been very disappointing
-
Just been out and we have had about 2 cm of snow in north Bristol.
