Snow. Temp 1.4. Central Manc.

Backtrack, you need to move. Runcorn is always going to be crap for snow. I drove over the woodhead pass last night and there's tons of snow. It's only an hour away from Runcorn.

Temp +0.5c and no precip. Salford Quays.

I'm a million miles from an expert but I do have the Netweather radar.
Edit: This is all on 'Netweather Future Radar': The band of snow that passed over us this afternoon has stalled and appears to be reversing path. If I click on the future arrow then it is back over Merseyside at about 5.30pm.!
Also, they've suspended all buses in Merseyside. Something that is unheard of as far as I know.

Central Liverpool:

Heavy snow for the past hour near the Anglican Cathedral.
Upper Parliament Street is starting to get covered again despite being gritted in the morning.
The people who abandoned cars on the road this morning may regret it because by 5pm their car might be under a heap of snow!

3.5c in central Manchester at 60m ASL. Snow, dammit!
-
It's old news but maybe 30 mins of heavy snow in central manc. Enough to fill in the car tracks.
-
That's a shame.
We've had hail and thunder so far this morning.... very festive. Bah.
It's currently snowing and there's a light covering in Liverpool City Centre. You need to move a few miles East..

I've been following this thread all year. Thanks for all the posts.

I have been studying the data and my model, with over 20 years of experiential data, says -1.0c. Big freeze coming. I expect Birmingham to have lying snow >10 days of the month. Buy blankets.

Manchester a snow desert once again.
For somewhere that gets so much rain it's incredible how little snow we get.
1.0c in Sale.
