...looks like Hunstanton and Salisbury next places to get hit. Let's see what reports come in.
We got hit at 4pm and we're just to the North of Andover (about 17miles north east of Salisbury). It was pretty violent, but lasted less than 10 mins.

Its relentless here, hopefully it will calm down soon, but there are some beefy gusts still, and quite a bit more rain to come, i have never witnessed such horrendous conditions on the IOW before, and The Islands Roads have done an amazing job in keeping the Island on the go, my hat goes of to you guys, good job
It should calm down soon. It's gone very quiet here in north Hants, until the next wave hits us.

It's bad here, but not as bad as that last storm that hit us at 3am.

Just following the flightradar app. Last 5 approaches into Gatwick all gone around. One flight diverted the other 4 trying again. Thankfully I'm not on board one of the planes it must be scary stuff.
This one gave up and went to Stanstead - http://www.flightradar24.com/EZY11CL

Strange day here in Andover, Hants. All day it's been foggy and -4C. When it got dark it fell to -6C and the trees were full with ice from the freezing fog. 2 Hours later it's raining, -4C and glazed ice everywhere. It's +2C now and the roads are looking wet rather than iced over. Thank god!

Just came back from Swindon where I saw drizzle in the town and heavy snow coming onto the M4. On the way back it was almost whiteout conditions in places with the snow and fog. Back home now and all we have is drizzle

I agree with you there westsussex - there were some monster flakes with that lot - absolutely amazing! I wonder what that would have looked like during daylight hours..... slowing down a bit here now
We were lucky enough to see those flakes here whilst it was still light. Some of the flakes were as wide as your fist! I've never seen anything like it.

We've got a really good covering here, but it feels a bit wet. I just cleared some from my windscreen and it was very damp. The temp has just dropped to zero degrees C here, hopefully it will fall further.

Snowing here now, very small wet flakes.

from what i can make out, its stalling and looks as though its building from behind just want it to come a bit further east lol
According to the other thread it's started in Amesbury and Tidworth. So it's not far off for Hampshire now.

Half of Basingstoke is still white with snow. It's a light covering, but all the trees are white. It's as pretty as a xmas card in places, well as much as Basingstoke can be pretty

I wonder how many people got caught out in this. According to our forecast there was a 20% chance of rain with sunny intervals.
