Can't wait for Paul 'I hate snow' Hudson's forecast!

Got to pick my lads up from Morley tomorrow. Luckily I drive a T34.

Pocklington always seems to do well, hope it shifts a bit further north through the night.
-
Light snow in Strensall, settling well on the road and paths.

Please, please, just a little bit more North!

Looks like there will be snow in the vale of York too. not very often does it snow there
Just let the dog out... there's no snow here! and I can see the moon through the clouds, not a good sign but hoping for tomorrow.
Also welcome to the group. We are friendly even when Sheffield gets all the snow and York none at all!

That's brilliant @vizzy2004 and not just the snowfall! Hope your daughter loves it!

Just watching the radar and everything Derby and below is heading east, everything above is heading west.

Light snow in Strensall. Just driven up from Kent this afternoon/evening and the deepest snow was at the top of Wroutham Hill on the M20. Absolutely nothing after that.

Fylingdales will be fun tonight!
I know and I'm missing it! There were about 10 flakes Saturday morning. Fingers crossed though for Friday.

I'm back at work on Friday so i'm hoping for a decent covering Friday into Saturday. Not expecting much for Strensall though.

The Foss at Strensall was starting to ice over which hasn't happened for a few years. 2010 was the last time I can remember it being completely frozen though I was too chicken to test it. There was a swan near the railway bridge frantically trying to keep a patch clear of ice.
Also I have some nice photos of the snow yesterday but not sure if I'm allowed to post them. I will check. We had at least 7cm but it's hard to tell as the wind was drifting everything.

There was a covering in Pickering as I came through this morning, but up here it is a winter wonderland!

Two flakes in Strensall! I counted them both.
The Netweather forecast for snow for my work keeps getting put back day by day. I wonder if it will actually happen.

Nearly a cm at strensall N of York but less as I drove west. A covering at Linton. What a lovely day yesterday though. Absolutely beautiful.
-
I can tell those maps have no chance of verifying as they have snow for the lower vale of York. Normally there would be a nice circle of clear around the city.
-
Massive flakes, heavy snow at Linton at least a cm already. Drive safe.
-
Very cold rain in York - was snowing huge flakes earlier but turned back to rain. Durham, where my son is, seems to be getting another pasting - I keep telling him that it's England's snowiest city.
-
Sorry for late reply but the pale blue area north of York is just ghosting. It's pretty much over my house and we've had nothing since 1100ish.
Having said that @vizzy2004 may have had some snow up on the ridge.

This much snow at Fyl! Thought we'd get a bit more tbh but not complaining.
