Still snowing moderately, at a guess around 7-8cm of snow so far, one of the best surprises for a long time .
-
now its raining LOL
It ain't your day is it .
-
Seems the precipitation is now on a more southerly track . Should be good for the midlands particularly Notts/Lincs borders .
Snow beginning to accumulate rapidly with the heavier stuff moving in .
-
Getting heavier now. I wasn't expecting a few inches today
Aye seems to have pepped up again .
-
Still snowing lightly, around 4-5cm of snow has fallen over the last 5 hours, the good thing is the slight thaw we had earlier has stopped .
-
Constant light snow here even though the radars show much heavier
Seems to be 'wanting' to pep up, who knows eh?
-
The band will push SW, its gunna follow the PVA <_< hence why we are getting rapid intensification constantly.
I hope these dewpoints and temps hold out, we have a slight thaw setting in here, although the precip is still very light it is snow.
-
expect the lot E yorks coast line and into N sea to start coming inland starting from now, it will still be snowing come 8pm tonight in hull mark my words on it! massive covering now, would be interesting too see how reef is doing in his little micro climate.
I have an inch here easily maybe more in places.
P.S ROADS PATHS EVERYTHING COVERED
Andrew, you expect the stuff out in the N.Sea to start coming inland? O.M.G. <_<

According to the radar East of York is taking a good hit at the minute, anyone confirm this?
We now have our usual 3cm
-
Things are looking very interesting east of the M1 .
-
No consistency here at the minute, just when you think it is getting going, the next minute it's back to light snow .
Edit- pepping up again???
-
-
Starting to get it's act together here, snow has turned from light/mod to mod/heavy, fantastic winter scenes .
-
yeah, really does supprise you, one point it looks like its all shifting away but then it peps up on other side making it last longer. lol if that makes sense.
Been watching this develop for a while, those showers that were in Scotland are rapidly catching the main band of precipitation up, things could look good for Yorks & Lincs for the next few hours, conservative estimates for here 5-6cm .
-
radar looked crap but now its pepped up into for here!
You using net extra?
-
Can we get more than 3cm this time
I think we may, i have a feeling it will pep up later on, hopefully dp's & temps will hold out.
-
Around a couple of cm's here and still snowing moderately .
-
Lightly snowing
-
No i havn't, it's not something i picked upon until late last night, nice surprise if it does come of though .
-
Frosty morning with a very light dusting of hail overnight, looks good today with the potential of finally a fair amount of snow for northern and eastern areas, can we manage more than the usual 3cm
-
Will anything come from the feature running down the country later tonight, progged around 4-9am? GFS is having none of it, maybe a little down western sides, BBC has a little activity (Meto model). Ecmwf has the feature running down the east coast, just to confuse things . Obviously not a lot of precipitation is with this feature but when you have nothing snow wise it is 'something' . See how this one pans out later tonight!

yorkshire?
well its peaked here now at 1.2 with dew of 0.4
Yes, though i'd be more confident if i was nearer Notts/Derbs/Leics. Patience is the key
-
Reports of it snowing in Leics now, not a bad sign at all, with 850's beginning to fall slowly & if the precipitation gets heavier those in the south and west of the region should see some good snowfall .

Mixture of rain, hail & snow now, looks like game over for this one.
