now here is the february 2010-1900 comparing 1-14 february 15-28 february you can see many differences on 1-14 february, and again today's waves similar to 1900 on 15-28.

Hi to everybody, the winter in going to end. Here we have had a cold period since december to march, now is coming back snow on mountains and on the hills of center Italy, about on 5-8 march. I confirm my impression: we had a not normal high pressure on the groenlandia island, but i have found a similar situation during the 1899-1900 winter, then i was wrong saying that our climate and the climate of the past are different. here my experiment byebye

hello from Italy, here is coming too the winter with snow today in the north (the tv has said) and cold weather. i see that this year we have not the high pressure over the atlantic, but another hot high pressure over the groenlandia's island. I am a journalist and i like to check history of weather to understand what happens. So, i think we are very far, this year too, from the normal weather. yeah, you are tipical english who imagin italy like sea-sun & pizza. we have also high mountains and there the glaciers are going back during the sun. hope to ski again next years... yes i shall eat pizza waiting for autumn... .

Hello, i am writing from Novara, north of Italy. i am discussing since 1999 in a famous italian weather forecasts site. Here is hot and it is not normal. Hope in snow weather as soon as possible In Italy some people in the web sites sometimes talks about the stratosphere warming and they show maps and teach how to read its: the warming creates big high pressures since october to march in the north of the USA and that high pressure, this is my personal opinion, block the Coriolis Power (i am not sure if the translation is right). And all is easyer: one big polar whirl and big dynamic high pressures around it. I understand that the weather is changing because of that problem, and think that is not a natural phenomenology, for the waves that the high pressure generates, but all the forumers, in Italy, don't like my opinion. What do you think about that? Massimo
