  1. I think you've hit the nail on the head, as your scenario would be perfect and quite plausible
  2. Sounds good As always, hoping Fife/Edinburgh can get something out of it Seems like the snow has halted here, for a little while... Had a covering this morning, but it soon turned to slush and melted Still better than nothing, I suppose
  3. Going to go to bed, or I'll sit and watch the snow for a while hoping it keeps going and if it stops I'll be disappointed Good Night and hope you all get the snow you want
  4. I will, Polar Bear (PS, I like your avatar!) I'm just wondering if this will last for longer or if it'll clear sooner..
  5. My bedroom window is covered with snow.. I nearly had a heart attack when I seen it I'm also wondering if schools will be shut.. I think if this continues for another few hours - combined with low amounts of traffic on roads, it will be manic in the morning
  6. Ditto.. Just waiting on them turning off...
  7. None at the moment, but it looks like the roads that were soaking are starting to cover up
  8. Light has just flickered.. Think we'll light the candles just incase Snow is still coming down.. This seems to be getting fun... Edit: Another flicker....
  9. Just heard that the roads are going slushy and starting to cover over...
  10. It's still snowing here, but isn't lying probably due to the soaking ground... Just hope it will begin to mount up later. If not, kick in the teeth, but as LS pointed out last night it has been a good winter so I can't complain.
  11. If we get some really nice disruptive snow, I'll be sure to post some pictures up for some of you
  12. I was shocked and amazed also My worry is that it won't lie......... But I'm just a very cynical person Here's hoping for a nice big blizzard... (And no school!)
  13. Funnily enough, my new laptop battery arrived earlier today On a weather side of things, looks like it's sleet outside and it's 'blooming' freezing our there :o Temp: 2.7C, DP: 2.3C
  14. Just read about the red alerts for my area... Is it wrong for me still to be cynical? I love this quote - "...some interruptions to power supplies are possible."
  15. That's actually a very good point... Think I'll stop whining and sit and wait patiently Been a good winter for us, so I can't complain
  16. Don't worry, you can join my no-snow club Was snowing earlier, but turned to rain (although looking little more like sleet) and has washed it all away... I suppose if we do see anything through the night, it'll be a bonus, but I'm become more cynical by the minute
  17. Damnit, stopped snowing and turned back to rain... SM
  18. Don't worry about the rain We had heavy rain for a while earlier and now it's changed.
  19. Proud to say it's starting to lie on some parts up here in Fife/Lochgelly area In particular, roofs, cars, grass etc. Not sure if it will last for long though.......... There may be hope now for us
  20. Just wondering what the prospects of snow in the next few days? I'm poop at reading weather charts.. Sorry!
  21. It's either snowing lightly.. or the rain is doing a blooming good job of disguising itself Think anything'll come from it?
  22. I'm so jealous of you guys with loads of snow... Could you kindly sent it my/our way? We've had rain on & off all day and most of our snow is disappearing quickly
  23. Can you send it South or East, please? Temps haven't changed a bit, since my last post.. Wonder if the weather station is alive... (Edit: Infact they have both risen 0.3c)
  24. *sniffles* Sleet here, at the moment. Temp.: 2.5C and DP exactly same.. I can see the snow melting and I can see grass!!!
  25. I wonder if the Met Office will recall or update their Fife weather warning soon for tomorrow... http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ta/ta_forecast_warnings.html --- There is a moderate risk of severe weather affecting parts of Scotland. Further outbreaks of snow are likely to give falls of 2 to 5cm, mainly over high ground, and totals locally in excess of 10cm over highest parts. Strong northeasterly winds may cause some drifting. Issued at: 1205 Wed 24 Feb ---
