What the hell is going on with this so called snow threat Sat night Sun Mon etc. All the TV media are showin snow for all of south britain and yet there are no warnings at all from the met Just an advisory. For something this close it doesnt make sense.

I was starting to think the same thing.. They might issue it today though.

By this, we mean there is a possibility at some point in the future of the atlantic trying to take over our weather.

- Currently the east/north is giving us most of the weather ( Cold dry )

However normally we would get low pressures with lots of rain coming in off the atlantic.

One concern is if the atlantic trys to nudge in it will bring a lot of rain/snow to the west as it does so.

It would then fight with the east and maybe loose.

If it looses we could be looking a prolonged snow while this fight happens before the lows head south.

Thank you I have been hearing it a lot in the past few hours and I had to end up asking because I couldn't find it anywhere, so thanks once again.

Yes was just looking at that myself then noticed some darker reds beginning to show around the Bristol area on raintoday also. Looks like that streamer that's going over Reading at the moment could also hit us with any luck..

Hmmm, the blob has thrown up a Northern arm in the last 2:45 frame on raintoday. Maybe it'll get heavier in a minute.

Showers will be of rain or sleet over western coastal areas. Showers will fall onto sub zero surfaces, leading to widespread ice on untreated surfaces.
