  1. I also remember the 10th May 1994 eclipse, as while on a school trip on a boat in Swansea Marina, one of the teachers told us how to safely watch it that evening, if it brightened up, which it did not. The 1999 eclipse was 97% here, and I can remember the ball of the sun under the clouds, just after maximum it brightened up. The Lunar eclipse on Nov 8/9 2003 was mainly cloudy, but I did see the moon as I walked home from my birthday party.

  4. Today has been a dry day with some good spells of sun, 20.6°c was the high. sunset is just over ½ an hour away and temperatures are now at 17°c .

  8. AUGUST 2005 August was an average month with some good warm spells. The first week was fairly warm with some sunny spells but also rather wet, the following week was warm and sunny with cool clear nights, this theme continued into the third week, the final week was a lot more unsettled with some very windy and rainy days, although summer returned as August ended. The average maximum for August 2005 was 21.38°c which is slightly lower than August 2004 and July 2005. taken from summer review 2005 on my site.
  9. Watched the 1:40pm forecast today, was fairly detailed, I wonder if tonights will be?

  11. Sun lowering in the sky behind alot more cloud, 18°c. Today has been a day of sunny spells and warm with highs of 22½°c
  12. The forecast was rather short on Wednesday, I don't know why Wales Today are squeezing the forecast in at the end, it should have alot more prominence in the show, to be honest was there any point of Derek being there?
  13. heavy rain shower and several large rumbles of thunder and lightning, in the Swansea and Gower area.

  16. Saw Philip Avery on News 24 this morning for the first time in ages, more use of the colour contour temperature chart and the fly over he used was better, not the normal around the edges stuff.
  17. Overcast and picking with rain, 20.1°c, have had a few downpours this morning, earlier we had a high of 24°c
  18. Its been a nice day here, loads of sunshine after early morning mist and fog, highs today of 25.2°c [up 6.1°c on yesterday]. Still sunny this evening 22.2°c.
  19. cloudy at the moment 18°c, earlier drizzle has fizzled out high of 19°c
  20. Make sure that your washing line is somewhere else. :unsure: Seriously, I would not want to be in the situation that the people of that city are going to be in in 12-15+ hours, ever
