Are we as a region likely to see troughs form at short notice? I hate how hit and miss showers can be.
-
I think that £1 snow shovel I bought from B&M last month may get some use........shame I didn't buy the rest of stock in the store
-
We had 2-3cm at most I guess, can't complain.
Why can't we seem to be able to make it stick around after it snows, I'm looking out my window and it's already melting rapidly.

Showers to the North of me, Showers to the South of me. Unfortunately I'm stuck in the middle with many other Norfolk residents with nothing to get excited about.
Does anyone have a link to a site that has radar that extends a bit further out into the North Sea? Showers have to basically be on top of us before we know about them.

Diddly squat for those of us in the North of the region I suppose.....

Snowing here in Buxton.....Derbyshire! Nice to see for a snow starved Norfolk resident. Looking forward to finding the highest peaks around this way as I'm normally used to 40m above sea level, not 300.
Up here for the weekend, will bring some back to East Anglia with me!

0.2c temp
-2.2c dewpoint
Fantastic frost overnight

Well, time to go to work, could be interesting along the single track and B roads
Really glad I tucked my wheelie bin up as it looks like someone is missing theirs in the middle of the road with the contents whirling around.

I can't say I have experienced gusts like this before, West facing bedroom and garden on the edge of miles of open fields.
Been awake since 2am and it's getting louder by the minute, going to be lots of car insurance claims for me to deal with today........

Temp 3.6c
Dew point -5.6c
Surprisingly warm considering the wind direction. I was always told "when the east wind blows there'll be snow.
Couldn't even manage a frost this morning and looks unlikely tonight!
I can't believe the chance of a frost gets some of us excited these days!

How many more hours should we expect to see showers coming off the North Sea? I'm hoping that I might see a dusting of snow as we missed out on all of the fun yesterday. I'm 15 miles inland at the dizzy heights of 50 metres above sea level

Back from the walk. Precip stopped ten minutes ago after a mix of small flakes, sleet and a tiny bit of rain at the end. A dusting on roofs and some other surfaces but nothing to call home about at all, kind of saddening because this'll be such a memoral event for so many in this thread and Norfolk is just here with near nothing like always At least you're all getting snow, enjoy it while it lasts!
We should get the second home owners to cart some snow up here in their Chelsea Tractors

Another promising snow event that turns out to be a damp squib!
We always seem to be too far north, too far south or too close to the coast.
The band is so close to the south of my location.......says it all really.
Just want some snow for myself and my little boy to enjoy.

It's nearly the moment of truth, the precip is nearly here..
If it makes it to us.....

Has anybody managed to view the most up to date fax charts? I was wondering whether the trough shown to pass over this region in the early hours tomorrow was still likely to happen?
If it does exist are we likely to get a dusting from it?
-
Nothing more than a damp squib here 15 miles inland from the North Sea. Temp 1.8c with dewpoint -0.3c
Flurries keep coming but nothing settling......lame again....

Are these showers likely to turn more to rain this evening? I'm hoping I get at least a couple of cm but it's not settling
-
There appears to be a healthy band of showers out in the North Sea drifting towards Norfolk, hope it makes it this far West across the region as snow. Currently heavy sleet but we may get lucky
