  1. One weak cold front last week (Wednesday morning) and one weak cold front this week (this morning) . Strange thing today though it didn’t usher in colder conditions, conversely a rather Springlike 12c+ afternoon.
  2. I am so glad we had a run of sunny days last week! Temperature really struggling, the max so far today is just 1.4c!
  3. Minus 4.4c this morning was the lowest since 11th February last year, so practically a year. Maximum today of 3.6, the lowest maximum in practically a year too (13th Feb last year) but so frustrating that it was cloudy from mid morning.
  4. Minus 4.4c this morning, will have to check my records later to see when it last got this cold. It has been beautiful to see the moon every morning this week as it’s gradually been waning.
  5. Rather foggy at Westbury United tonight, not bad enough to stop the match though. Moon is visible above too.
  6. Full on sun hat-trick achieved albeit a close run thing as it was foggy less than half a mile away until mid morning! For the first time in ages some frost stayed in the shade all day, that used to be a winter benchmark!
  7. I would dearly love a frosty start and full on sun hat-trick tomorrow , which would mean a lack of fog in the morning.
  8. The opposite of summer when daytime temperatures creep up day on day under an intense HIGH.
  9. Oh look the old sky clearing at dusk scenario rears its head for the 90 millionth time this winter!!!!!!!!
  10. Today I was out in some of the largest raindrops I can imagine. They were more than an inch in diameter as they landed, some were nearer 2 inches! This from showery rain under a weak warm front in winter, not where I might expect them from a summer thunderstorm!
  11. A truly stunning morning, how frustrating to see pressure rising yet fronts stuck over us for at least the next few days!!!!! Gloom and drizzle and mild, err, hooray, not!!!
  12. Friday 7th January 2022 16.03hrs The time Andy recorded snow in Warminster and created video viewing problems for others ?!
  13. One of the coolest weather phenomena I’ve ever seen but not sure if my video will upload. Large wet snowflakes falling at the back edge of the (rainy sleety) front with clear sky behind. IMG_0247.MOV
  14. An actual frost this morning then a completely sunny day! And now the lovely crescent moon shining as dusk falls along with the temperature.
  15. Yes it’s dropping quickly here too, from 6.2c to 2.1c in less than an hour. Might not sound great but it’s more wintry than anything in nearly 2 weeks! Plus some sleet wahey!
  16. Yes it’s dropping quickly here too, from 6.2c to 3.4c in less than half an hour. Might not sound great but it’s more wintry than anything in nearly 2 weeks!
  17. We actually have clear sky in the morning for the first time since 10 days ago! Amusingly the temperature is about 13c higher than that frosty one though! Rather a ‘plumey’ look to things with various mid level clouds.
  18. I am very grateful that in Wiltshire the sky has cleared to some extent every afternoon on the last 4 days.
