    Gusting wind and light to moderately heavy snow here - small flakes but a lot of them. Actually, it's getting much heavier as I type! Temperature hovering around 0 to -1C. Stowmarket Tescos was packed out this morning. Extremely busy and long queues at all the tills but it all looked under control and nothing seemed in short supply. John

    Suffolk's in - thanks! Does this mean we have to be nice to people from Norfolk? Even Norwich? Around 3 to 4 cm of snow overnight and currently -2C. The wind is picking up a little at 15mph. John

    Oi! Watch it or I'll come and poke you with my pitchfork I agree the Met Office split is a good idea, though - after all, it's what it thinks reflects regional weather perceptions and it would match their warnings. Some light snow here near Debenham btw at -4C John

    I can see where you're coming from on this but for weather here, I look to what's happening in Norfolk, Essex, Cambs and..... the North Sea. The other problem is that leaving East Anglia in the thread name is really confusing when Suffolk is a major part of East Anglia. There's bound to be posts ending up in both threads. Anyway, enough from me. John

    Probably me I appreciate that with a post count in single figures that I lurk rather than post but I feel leaving Suffolk out of this group is bit bizarre. Even Essex is a bit borderline. I've now got to read two groups to get my local picture. John

    As a Suffolk resident and group lurker, I would like to register my extreme displeasure at being summarily removed from East Anglia East Anglia: - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambs, plus Essex when in a mood of extreme tolerance. On a more serious note, this split does seem a little odd - I realise there has to be a divide somewhere but Norfolk and Cambs postings are far more relevant to Suffolk than Kent, Surrey and Sussex. John
